I have a question fo ryou ladies. i have been asked to work as a hair model.. Yay right? Not so fast. He wants to use me to model his micro rings extension system that he was recently certified to do. Now i will be paid by installation of these extension and three tightening sessions with him. I have done research on this system but i am still not sure if i should do it or see about some other types of styles he would like to capture. I would have long hair in the short term but i am not sure about how it would affect my hair in the long run. The installation doesnt involve the use of any heat based products like fusion, hair is attached with a little lined metal ring around the base of the hair. I have included a website to better show how this works. But do you ladies think i should do it? I really dont know how i would take care of my hair while this system was installed but i think i would have to go to the salon. Help

Do you have a picture of how the style will look? Do also have some upclose shots of how the extensions will look and be positioned in the hair?

I've never heard of this before, but METAL + HAIR usually isn't a good combination. I wonder how you would wash it?

Good for you for potentially getting a modeling gig, but I'd hate for you to wind up with damaged hair as a result. Keep us posted!

Like this? I haven't heard much about it. It's pretty new.

I saw them use it on Top Model a few seasons back. I believe that is what Kahlen had in her hair on Naima's season. If you notice this past season they went back to the trusty sewin even on the white girls. I think this method is fairly new and up and coming so there might not be many people out here who have tried it. Maybe it's used in Hollywood? I really don't know. You might just want to do your research before you decide if you want to go through with it or not. Also check the weave forum over at BHM and see if there's any talk about it over there. They're the weave experts. HTH...
