Did your own sulfur mix work as well as MTG?

Do you find that your own sulfur mix is as effective as MTG?

I would like to make my own MTG (using grape seed oil and sublime sulfur). However, I worry that it won't work as well as the regular MTG.

MTG contains cade oil and sulfur. Are there any particular benefits to cade oil?
