Question: AT what length....

At what length were you able to make a decent bun??!

I try to make a bun but it always looks like crap...maybe it is because my hair is not long enough?

i could fake a bun right at lower neck but a decent small bun at least shoulder length.

My hair is about 19 1/2 to 20 inches long and I can work it into a nice bun. I have layers so sometimes that throws a wrench into things, despite the length! If I don't use a filler, my shorter layers start to unravel at different intervals of the day!

my hair is short-med length right past the shoulders and i was able to make a decent bun minus "helper hair" a few months ago i imagine at that point it was 8-9in root to tip
