Question about Megatek, Cowashing and Clean Hair???

I've been using MegaTek about a month now and I am extremely pleased with the results thus far. Since the beginning, I have stuck to my regimen of 2 DC's per week with a moisture conditioner...this means that I also shampoo my hair at that time so that I can avoid buidlup of the Mega tek product in my hair. I sort of hate the idea of shampooing my hair twice a week, so my question is: considering that I'm using MegaTek every other day, if I were to switch to more cowashes instead, is a conditioner wash with Aussie or Suave, for example, good enough to keep my hair clean of build-up. I was always unsure about whether or not a cowash actually cleans the hair like a shampoo does. Please advise....thanks all.

it sounds like you conditioner overload. how often would you be cowashing you hair? cowashing (it lightly cleanses the hair, but leaves moisture) will not remove buildup with dcing and using megatek and you probably use a moisturizer too right?

V05 has a lime clarifying conditioner that I use to get rid of any build up when I'm not quite ready to shampoo.

I use Suave Humectant for cowawshing and it works good to get you a clean scalp. It rid you completely of build up though. But, it will be good enough to get you to your weekly wash...

I DC twice a week, my hair needs it. I just wonder if shampooing twice a week is bad for the hair....but then again, I can just pre-poo with Olive oil and maybe that will protect the hair.

I use MT nightly with an applicator bottle on my scalp. I have to honest and say it rinses pretty clean. I co-was every other day and do not have a problem with build-up. But I do an ACV rince after every co-wash, so that might be why.

That's great...I think I'll try it for a couple weeks and see how it goes. Do you do the ACV after your final rinse or midway? Thanks all!
