Using Megatek and Aphogee

I have been using aphogee shampoo and 2 min reconstructor weekly. I will be using megtek starting tonight. I know everyone hair responds different to proteins, but does anyone think it will be ok to still use these products along with the megatek since I will only be applying the megatek to my scalp and not the length of my hair.

I really wouldnt advise using both, Ive seen some say they still got 'run off' onto their hair from the MT with CW'ing/rinsing it out , I think its way too risky.

but maybe the MT/OCT ladies will come and post more of what they think -since I dont use the products

But I can say I would not risk doing that much protein usage

Thanks. I just wanted to double check before using it since I have been reading that some have had shedding, not saying that I will but I dont want to come up bald headed from using too much protein.

Thanks, so would you say that its ok to still use the shampoo with a moisturizing conditioner, or moisturizing shampoo and condtioner all the way.

I read this blog like 10 times and I was trying to understand without asking a dumb question. Can somebody help me please??? I read the thread and I want to use MegaTek on my scalp daily, but I just wanna know if its potentially bad...

It's best to use a gentle cleansing shampoo so that MT will penetrate. If you could find one that is also a moisturizer that would be fantabulous. If that shampoo will not leave a residue then I think it should be fine. But don't use it together. Wash first then MT. Then don't forget your moisture conditioner or cream rinse. I hope this helps.

Well, I've done this before (including this week) and have had no probs. I guess it just depends on the person. I also CW daily and wash twice a week (once more moisture, once with more protein) so IDK if that has anything to do with it?

The biggest prob I had is when I first started using MT and didnt know how to get the majority of it on my scalp and then DC'd with Lekair Cholesterol. That sent me into minor protein overload that I quickly corrected. Now that I am much better at applying it directly, I don't have that overload issue anymore.
