Africanqueen,

The #1 benefit for me has been being able to keep my hair straight in humidity. I am naturally curly 3b/c and the treatments have been a godsend. I have been using the keratin treatments for almost two years in April.

Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G using Long Hair Care Forum App

:lick: Thanks Dove!...I also heard about breakage and etc...which one did you use?

I am relaxed but it did not keep my new growth from reverting...however it was very soft and more manageable. I sweat on my scalp alot which may be why. I use the less than2% form king... Shoot, I forget the name! Something "gold". Pinkskates used it too. Primary benefit for me is it strengthens my relaxed taxlax hair. It has grown from brastrap to about waistlength in about a year.

To be honest, I'm glad someone started a new keratin thread. The other one was too long and had too many useless posts in it. That's what always happens in those really long threads.

It really depends on your hair. I think you need more than one treatment to truly get the effects of bkt. I got the treatment once during the summer in NYC. I took the train home right after. As soon as I get in the house, my hair was in a poof. Had to flat iron again. I have thin hair that reverts easily so that's definitely a factor.

I'd say it helps a lot but it is not guaranteed to completely protect from reverting.
