Question about bantu knots

Hi Ladies,

I promised myself I would lay off the heat as much as possible this summer. I want to do a knot out for air drying, but I have no idea 1) if it would work and 2) how to do them. I am a 3c with not quite armpit length hair (shorter layers in the front).

Does anyone have any pics that I could see as to what they are supposed to look like? And how many of them should I make? Also, how does one sleep on them? (I imagine it will take at least overnight to dry completely.)

I was also thinking of a modified scarf method - scarf method in the fornt and knots in the back unti it dries, then I can pony it up and have a wavy/curly ponytail.

TIA!
