quest for a moisturizer is over (I think)- Qhemet's Burdock Root

unapologetic
Since I have been on this forum, I have been looking for a good moisturizer that is not oily and keeps my hair soft. I have tried everything possible, ORS carrot or Olive oil, QP mango butter, and whole bunch of other stuff. I decided to try the Qhemet Amla & Olive heavy cream. It made my hair feel dry and harsh like straw. I gave it a few tries but still the same results. Wanted to try Burdock root butter cream but the site is closed till January. As I was looking at the site dreaming of trying burdock root. I saw at the bottom of the site they do sell to some retail locations. One address was 2.6 miles from me. I called and the had 1 container of the BRBC and nothing else. I told the lady reserve it for me and I got in my car and flew.

Ladies,I do not regret getting BRBC. I applied a little to my hair and OMG!! I'm in love my hair feels moist and soft and :lick:.

Any ladies here love this product? I knew SparklingFlame uses it, now I know why.

I really do like that stuff. I want to like the heavy cream just as much but the BRBC has it beat. I will be buying several more jars when Qhem restocks.. I also really like the hydrating balm; it works great for sealing moisture and maintaining pressed/flat ironed/straight styled hair.

Yes ma'am. QBRB is indeed, the bee's knees. :yep:

The heavy cream was a no go for me too. I tried it several times but my hair was dry and started snapping off. Maybe I'll try their other products.

As a Relaxed Head, I honestly love all the Qhemet Products I have tried. Naturally I love the Burdock Root.:lick:

But I also get great benefit from the Amla & Heavy Cream and the Coco Tree Detangling Ghee when I am 10+ Weeks Post. I think these 2 work Wonders Softening NG.

The Olive Honey Hydrating Balm is also 'special' to be for holding in Moisture.

I Love Qhemet.

Yes, I love BRBC! I cosign your statement. I got a sample size of Alma and Olive heavy cream, and I am glad it was only a sample size because that mess made my hair feel the same as yours.

I use BRBC in the summer and when moisturizing my afro. I use AOHC in the winter when my hair needs more moisture. For my stupidly thick, dense, and coarse hair, the BRBC isn't heavy enough in the winter, but it truly is the bees knees in the summer!

I use the brbc on my dd's 3 b-c hair and it drinks it up.. I love that her hair is moisturized and not greasy... I tried the aohc last nite for the first time after washing and today my hair feels great.. Im 4a relaxed 3 weeks post and the aohc is working so far... Will try the brbc on my hair on the next wash just to compare...yay.. Looking at the olive and honey balm next..

I love this product too. It makes my relaxed hair soft to the touch. I was using a cone-based moisturizer beforehand and my hair was alway rough feeling and hard.

Used it for the first time last night and I love it! My hair feels so soft! I think my search for a moisturizer is over!

My hair also Loves Qhemet root burdock butter like one of the other ladies said i use it all year Round, its one of my staples.

I too am in love with the BRBC, the stylist at the salon I went to buy from recommended it opposed to the olive & amla as my strands are very fine and it was a dream just what I want from a moisturizer. It doesn't weigh down my hair, it's not greasy and lasts for days, I also only need a little which makes the £16.99 price tag justifable

I love the BRBC! The Amla Heavy Cream is good too, but I have to use it sparingly or it gives me lots of buildup and shedding.
