Qhemet Biologics - Any relaxed heads use this?

I'm interested in the QB line of products. It gets great reviews here and I went on the website to read up more on the product line. So far it looks great. However it seems like it's more for naturals or those transitioning to natural. Are there any relaxed ladies here that use any of the products or have used them? If so what's your opinion? Did it work for you? Why or why not?

TIA

I am on a test ride with the heavy cream (almla one) and it is kinda heavy for my hair. So I just use it on the last 3-4 inches of my hair. I like it. It is intensely moisturizing!

I use the Sidr Butter and I love this. This is now my staple moisturizer and the only one I will use from this point on (as long as QB keeps making it  )

I also have the Heavy cream and I use that on my daughter's hair. This works better on her hair than mine but still a very good product.

I use their Amla & Olive oil Heavy Cream as a nighttime moisturizer since it's heavy.

I tried thier new Herbs & Sulphur cream last week but I couldn't take the smell of the sulphur. Now I don't know what to do w/ the container, I only used it once.

uh you wanna donate it to charity nomoweavesfome?

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Now I really want to try this line. I see that they have a sample trial pack that I can order. It does not contain the Sidr Butter though :ohwell: but does have the Amla & Olive Oil heavy cream. Perhaps if the price is right I will order the Sidr Butter as well. Even if it does not work for me I plan to use it on my daughters hair and she is natural so hopefully I'll get my money's worth either way.

Next question did you buy it directly from QB or did you use another site? If so are the prices better elsewhere?

I use the Amla Oil hair grease, tea tree & grapeseed oil (only when my scalp is itchy), and the sulfur oil (love this one). They are all kinda heavy, so I use sparingly w/ very good results.

kitkat3ny, Does this smell worse or even equivalent to MTG?

I love the Sidr Tree Butter and Olive Cream Detangler. Both are very moisturizing. Although the Sidr Tree is light, it's easy to overdo it and have your hair start to feel mushy. Olive Cream Detangler works from the second you put it on your hair. I also use it as a daily moisturizer, leaves the hair soft, not too much water and not too much oil.

I'd say the MTG definitely smells worse. But w/ the Herbs & Sulphur cream it smells of strong sulphur. To be honest I don't mind the sulphur smell but most people i'm around do. It doesn't smell "stink" but it does smell like sulphur.

Okay thanks! I have been looking for something that doesnt have that sulfur smell...i like my hair smelling good which doesnt work in combination with anything sulfur. I was willing to suck it up and try this though because i didnt like the build up on my scalp that i was getting with MTG

ETA: I have Phyto Polleine on my scalp right now, so i smell slightly of VICKS vapor rub :ohwell:

You can get a small sample of the sidr butter now. You can only get the samples from QB!

I have the Alma & Olive Heavy cream. I dont care for it much. It's much to heavy and thick. (It smells boring too.)

I was thinking of trying the Sidr Tree Butter. I have heard other relaxed ladies say this one is no where as heavy as the Heavy cream.

I ordered the sample pack and took 3 weeks to get to me. I can do without the soft gel stuff that came with the sample but the thick stuff - I think its Olive Oil, Honey, MSM - its really thick is wonderful for moisturizing. I kept avoiding it because I didn't like the texture but then I mixed it with some coconut oil and it melted in my hands!!! I was so excited the texture of it changed immediately and was very smooth and light when I combined it with the coconut oil. I smoothed it on my hair and bunned it and it stayed shiny and soft and moisturized until my next wash which was 3 days later. It probably would have lasted even long but I gotsta wash twice a week! :)

I like the sidr tree butter better the heavy cream. I find the heavy cream too heavy. Also, the sidr tree butter is the only moisturizer that keeps my nape moist.

Ladies, is the Heavy Cream's consistency like a grease? Is it extremely heavy?

I wish I could really explain it to you. It's not like a grease. More like heavy butters. (think crisco shortening maybe)

Yes, it really is that heavy and thick.

i wouldn't say its like crisco because crisco is grease and this is a buttery cream. its super moisturizing so you would only need a tiny bit. a little goes a long way.

You buy a 2 oz sample of the Sidr Tree http://www.qhemetbiologics.com/Merc..._Code=STBB2&Category_Code=CP&Product_Count=17

The 2 oz is $5.50 but the 4.5 oz is $10.

Thanks for answering my questions! I just ordered some Heavy Cream from CurlMart. So when you put it on, does it clog your hair? I'm really looking forward to using this, my ends need some extra moisture now.

Yes, crisco is grease. So that is why I said crisco maybe. The crisco I last saw was not greasey to the eye. I did say it more like a butter. So just my opinion.

Uh, oh, it's not the consistency of raw shea butter, is it? I have nightmares just thinking about it. I had to use dish soap to get it all out.
