I was reflecting on the thread I started about how to have better salon experiences, and thought that perhaps I should take it a step further in a tangible manner to back up what I expressed. Therefore, I've decided to offer a free rollerset to the first qualified person to PM me in response to this thread.

To qualify, you must meet the following:
have not previously seen me for services or booked services with me;
be available next Wednesday between 10:30AM and 2:30PM.

Actually, I don't and I must admit to being quite disappointed and perplexed. erplexed Is this board so anti-stylist that I can't even give away a shampoo and rollerset? Or what? It was a bona-fide offer with absolutely no strings attached. I simply wanted to do something kind and unexpected for someone, paying it forward if you will.

BTW, the "A" is Atlanta.

Balisi, I think it may be the limited timing, just one day, Wednesday, and between the hours of 10:30am and 2:30pm. Most of the ladies on this board either work or are in college so that timing may not be ideal for a lot of ladies. Now me, I could make it and definitely would take you up on your offer in a heartbeat if I didn't live in California...

AHHHH! I just read this post! I had surgery on my hand last week and I spent hours trying to pre-poo, shampoo, condition, etc. with a plastic bag taped over my right hand. I am 12 weeks post relaxer. Girl, I was struggling!#$%$# Then I drove across town to my friend's house so she could give me a rollerset. My hand is killing me now. I regret missing out on your offer.

What it is, there are waaayyy tooo many people that work, do their own hair, or are just anti-stylists in the "A"- Now in the "L" (London for you Phillistines) we appreciate every and ALL stylists including the crappy ones so imagine how far a BRILLIANT one (like yourself) would do? What I'm saying is maybe you should move here so I stop having nightmares of reaching my hair goal and some crazy "stylist" fries it with brown gel and a smoking marcel iron and it drops off!! really! I'd sign you off on all those migration thingies you can even live with me so you get a chance to practice your craft every other day on me

Awww, I'm sorry. If it helps I've considered flying down just for your services many many times. I'm not anti-stylist... I'm anti- ... misguided-people-messing-with-my-hair.

Has anyone "won" yet? I agree with everyone else. I live in the "A", but I have a job and I go to school. My days are pretty much taken up. I think if you wanted more people to take you up on the offer you should be a bit more flexible with the time. I would LOVE to get a free rollerset! But I can't see myself skipping class or calling in sick to work for it...

I just wanted to add that it is not everyday that people back up their words with action. So, thank you for that. Unfortunately, I am nowhere near Atlanta. If I were I think I'd be a paying customer.

i wish I was in the A... maybe You will do another offer when Im visiting...shoot honestly I was thinkin about gettin touch with yiou when I move back to NC and I would honestly make that 3.5 hour trip to see u (seeing the work u have done for others) even though it would only be like every 4 weeks or so...lol

Girl that was a wonderful gesture...

you are a true hairstylist...because not too many hairstylist out there would do such a thing and most are out for the money and will suggest(DC, trimming, partial relaxers etc) which a person dont need but the stylist knows this and this is their way of getting more money out of the person...i hate that...i think alot of people get turned off from going to stylist...

i just want to say that is so wonderful of you and it shows how great of a person and stylist you are.....its not too many out there like yourself....not saying you dont have bills to pay and goals in your life(vacations etc)....but i guess im just saying you dont come across as money hungry stylist...
