I was thinking about getting Redken Extreme strength shampoo but idk if I actually need the shampoo since I use protein DC'ers and LI's but just wondering what were y'all thoughts?

If it doesn't have amino acids or carboxylic acids I wouldn't bother. Protein in shampoos make my hair hard for some reason. Either have the components I wrote above or nothing, but protein :nono:

My hair responded reasonably well to Joico Kpak shampoo back when I was not doing protein treatments frequently. I think using a protein shampoo would now be too much for my hair since I'm using protein frequently. Babygrowth

I too like the Joico K-Pak Shampoo but my hair tends to prefer smaller amount of protein more frequently rather than heavy treatments less often. I use reconstructors and sometimes Aphrogee 2 Minute but no super heavy protein - at least for the time being.

It seems like if I don't feel like doing the extra step to use the poo in place of both protein DC and regular shampoo. I want to try it. I remember on just grow already she would do that sometimes.

I use the Redken Extreme Shampoo & Conditioner and its good for when i'm going to flat iron my hair. It gives me the strength that I need. If you already use protein dc then it may give you protein overload

I have several protein shampoos that I have no idea how to use. And my hair actually likes protein! So, no advice, but good question. :yep:
