Hello Ladies,

:wallbash: I am so upset w/ myself, because this could have been prevented. My hair over the last couple of months has been dry and very brittle. Breaking at the touch of it. My staple poo/condish is Aphogee, which works great. Unfortunately I over-proteined my hair. By that I mean, I routinely every week washed and deep conditioned w/ 2 minute reconstructor, but failed to followup w/ the moisturizing conditioner that I know works. I was only using coconut oil as a moisturizer :nono:. I usually used Honeysuckle Rose but for whatever reason thought I could get away w/ out using it and as time went on forgot to go back to it. And in essence lost a few inches from shedding, and breaking.

I was tired of my hair laying on my shoulders and sink. And crunchy dry.

I went back to old faithful Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose this weekend. I applied it to my hair while dry, and I greased my scalp :look: left it on overnight w/ a shower cap. OMG my hair feels so wonderful, & the comb was not full of hair. It has such a beautiful shine to it this morning.

I am just kicking myself because I didn't think of this sooner. I don't know why i thought coconut oil would suffice as a moisturizer for my hair.:ohwell: I guess laziness will eventually catch up with us.

So very simple lesson learned for me....well re-learned :yep:.

I am sorry that happened to you:sad: But it could have been worse like my experience! It took me a loooooong time to figure out I was in protein overload, with my hair breaking off all the while!! At least you knew sooner rather than later:perplexed after your hair has thinned considerably. But thanks for the review on AOHR! I am trying to simplify my reggie and thinking about using this since it is sulfate and cone free as a dc, a leave in (mixed with water) and a cowash while I transition with the BKT.
