I havent had relaxer in two years. I've been getting my hair pressed during that time. I want to avoid putting heat on my hair while it continues to grow. I have very thick hair that is about to my shoulder when straight but ear length when wet. I've tried lputting leave-in cond in my hair and doing twist-outs, braids and buns, but my hair is very thick and wont work with any of these styles. Any suggestions? could it be i dont have enough moisture or products in my hair when i do these styles? i dont want to become a product junkie so i need to find some "staple" products I can use.

Try Parnevu Leave-In conditioner and BB's Castor Oil...These are staple products for my daughter's hair and ther BB's leaves it soft and manageable..Hope this helps..
