protect ends

Okay my hair is short and ive decided to wear wigs for a few months. I want to know,How can i go about protecting my ends under the wigs?My hair is long enough to place in a little pony.

I spray my leave in, seal and fold my ends in the pony. I do wear a stocking wig cap too. You could canerow your hair too.
