Does it cause thinning of the hair? I was reading a thread on here earlier and a poster mentioned she did not want certain ingredients in her moisturizer for various reasons and she mentioned propylene glycol and she said because it thins the hair. If this is true I definitely need to stop using these products.

Does anyone else agree?

I hadn't heard this. Quite a few people here swear by "jeri curl" juice and other leave-ins that include propylene glycol as an ingredient. Maybe you should dig up the thread so people can see why the poster believed this ingredient causes hair loss.

One of my favorite moisturizers- TW Mist Bodifier- contains propylene glycol and I have absolutely no complaints. I've used it for over 1 year and love it.

Be cautious of folks making claims, especially grand ones, without scientific evidence to back them up.

I don't know about thinning but I do know in certain combos it can irritate the scalp. (added) by the other name it goes by 1,2 propanediol just the name frightens me... The propane part... Also suave naturals conditioners have this ingredient... I'd be bald if I used suave because it always makes me shed but I can't blame that one ingredient because I do use it in hs14 I only use it on the length of my hair with hs14in1 and it works just fine
I think certain things bother certain people... For example castor oil made big balls of my hair shed and there was no sign of it stopping in sight BUT for most people it sheds little to none with castor oil. I can use it in a pomade but not alone so it just depends on where certain ingredients are on a product list and what their combined with.

its also used in anti-freeze and engine degreaser, i can't be bothered with products that have it in there. not worth the health risk considering women store tons of toxins because we have more body fat. this is why i detox and do colonics.
