Okay, let's get this out of the way: Hairfanatic and some other of my more natural and organic ladies, I am usually among the group, but this time I am ready for the tomatoes and potatoes to be pelted at me /images/graemlins/cool.gif /images/graemlins/cool.gif You guys know this comment is in fun, but please note: this is not a natural, organic shampoo

The sudsing agent in this shampoo is sodium laureth sulfate.

FINAL RATING: 5/5

Roger & Gallet's Doux Nature Oatmilk Shampoo is utterly heavenly and expensive! It comes in the 200ml tubes (6.7oz) with a suggested retail price now of $12.00 /images/graemlins/shocked.gif However, I purchased it at Barclay and Crocker for a discount. The cheapest place I've found is Synergie Spa

The shampoo is "For All Hair Types". And, it is " both strengthening and revitalizing. It contains Pro-Vitamin B-5 to strengthen the hair and vegetal shea milk to save it from external agressions. Delicately perfumed, it brings you the pleasure of natural gentleness of oatmilk. Hypoallergenic and very gentle, it is adapted to all hair types and to frequent use. Its conditioning agents provide manageability, shine and volume to the hair."

Oatmilk and Shea Milk

Frankly, I think this description is an understatement. It's touted as a 2 in 1 shampoo at many of the sites which sell it, but works so much better than what the 2 in 1's usually produce. It moisturizes like you would not believe, BUT does not leave your hair greasy. Conditioning power is unbelievable...no tangles for me and no leave-in required. Plus, my scalp was extremely happy /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif It has a tendency to get oily and the shampoo did not aggravate the oil...nice, balanced scalp /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If any of you have tried L'Occitane's shea milk shampoo, Roger & Gallet put this product to shame. I remember trying that shampoo ages ago and my scalp was itchy and my hair was left rather DRY.

The Smell

The odor, as indicated, proved to be extremely mild. It smells rather like milk with a hint of perhaps powder. It's not offensive and does not remain in your hair for long. The smell appealed to me.

I would highly recommend this shampoo for anyone who has any issues with dryness.

Cheers,

Jade

LOL. This made me think about putting a disclaimer on all my reviews that say LET THE BUYER BEWARE! - IT WORKS FOR ME BUT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Girl, you gave it a high 5? It must really be good. The thing that kept going into my mind is moisturizing and detangling both I could use more of. Thanks Jade for an excellent review. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for that review Jade. The pj in me most likely will buy it and I know the positive vibe is coming from a highly reliable source /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Talk to you soon...

Sounds good. But then it must be if you recommended it. So far everything you have recommened to me(including the ones you said I wouldn't like..as in the Keihl's hair masgue) has been right on the money.

Thanks Jade! /images/graemlins/wave.gif
If this recommendation comes from you, I have NO DOUBT it's good. I'm going to look into trying it soon. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hmmm....I am on the no-poo rountine, but this sounds really, nourishing.....hmm....hm..... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, I AM getting braids.....see my PJ-itis is staring up!! LOL!!

Tara,

I am still in love with this shampoo. My 6 tubes finally came from Synergie Spa about a week ago. I was willing to wait for their supplier to get their act together. Great discount.

Can't give enough plugs to this one and many women in the US are obviously gobbling it, too. It seems very hard to come by.

Definitely give it a test drive /images/graemlins/cool.gif
