So...I was in Sally's to get some Ion Effective Care Treatment DC (Very Good Stuff!) when I happened upon a sale "1-Inch GVP Flat-Iron 49.99 w/ Free Generic Chi Iron Guard). I figured I may need a back-up iron or replacement (my brand new MG is leaking water and I've been looking at the Chi/Chi Turbo). Since I've heard so many great reviews about it, I decided to ahead and test it out using the "Chase method" for flat-ironing:

The Good:

-Very light, easy to maneuver
- Has multiple Temp settings
- My hair turned out VERY silky, soft and moisturized. It was also VERY straight....almost too straight
-My hair was cool to the touch immediately after passing

The Bad:
- Didn't get quite as close to my roots as the MG and I had to go over the front edges a few times before they were straight to my liking (I had rollerset my hair prior to flatironing)

-I don't know if it was the flat-iron or the chase method, but I noticed more than a few splits afterward. This could have also been due to the flat-twists that I wore recently. I did them when while my hair was wet and I had quite a bit of breakage or may be the iron was a little too hot .I did a S&D prior to flat ironing but I trimmed off a little more :wallbash: and I'm doing a thorough dusting to make sure I get them all.

The HSN vitamins I've taken for the last 5 weeks has given a me a little over an 1 inch it seems, so even with the extra trim I stll gained some length

Very pretty! & that looks like great growth for only 1 month!

I'm telling you the GNC HSN vitamin packs are THE TRUTH! (I also take a garlic supplement as well). It's just that I have sensitive skin and they break me out something awful when I don't drink enough water-which I didn't :ohwell:
