I'm a PJ and I'm in REHAB...so I'm going to try and save it. (Try is the operative word LOL).

I do want to buy some of the Qhemet Olive and Honey Balm...mmm that stuff if heavenly on my hair. I think that I'm over the curlformer bandwagon but I do want to get some stuff from Aveda and Redken.

(singing ala Amy Winehouse) They try to make me go to rehab but I said no, no, no....:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

The Amy Winehouse bit is tooo funny!!! I feel the same way.:lachen::lachen:
However, I think I will stimulate the economy just a little by purchasing a hair steamer.

Stimulus Check??

Where you been girl?? Uncle Sam is giving out checks in the amount of $300-1200 to everyone who files a tax return this year. Goal is to boost the economy. Google it - checks start rolling in the beging of May!

This gorgeous yellow Michael Kors handbag and also the Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. My kids are getting me a digital camera for my birthday, then I can post photos.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All coming the early part of MAY. You all know they broke those checks down in mail out dates going by the last 2 digits of your SS#.

I'm holding on to mine.

Has anyone else heard that this is your money you're getting back, and the rebate checks are basically an advance on your 2009 refund?

To produce this cash, Congress created a one-time tax credit to reduce taxable income for most taxpayers this year. If it turns out that you're entitled to a bigger tax credit than the checks you receive, you'll be able to claim that when you file your return next year.

This is why I said I won't be spending any of it.
Honestly, I don't think anyone here cares about such minor details:rolleyes:

I'm spending it on Sallie Mae, actually. But my recent expensive purchase was Toque Emergencia Treatment.

I think this is incorrect information floating around. From the research I've done you will not have to pay it back if your rebate calculated on your 2008 taxes ends up being less than the amount you will get now. Someone could get more if the rebate calculates out on the 2008 taxes based on 2008 income, but no one has to pay it back.

Can you guys show me where you have seen information different than that?

I must admit that I hadn't thought about using it for hair stuff, but other fiscally responsible activities.... but since you have brought it up, I would like some Curly Qs milkshake, to try QB Burdock Root Cream, and buy another pair of hairsticks:yep:

See here we go...

I bought some hair that I'm not going to install until June. Then I plan to buy Ovation Therapy. That's it!!!

can you say................................................................................

:roadrunner: OVATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grin::cowgirl: HERE I COME !!!!!! :yep::yep:

unfortunately i'm gonna be a responsible grown-up this year and use mine to start a college savings fund for my son. :perplexed

i know not exciting right... :lachen:

but if i wasn't doing that, i'd treat myself to some Curlformers, a whole boatload of Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner, and splurge on a day at Aveda (hair, nails, facial, massage) plus buy some of their products. oh and i haven't tried Oyin yet, i'd buy several things off that list.

ah, a girl can dream right...

MAYBE a stand up dryer. but not sure
def. a 5lb tub of keracare humecto
that mayonnaise treatment from sams247(the JBCO people)

lolo2470 ima git yoo! i hadn't even thought about spending that check esp not on hair/beauty but now that i've seen this thread......

:ninja:

Just spending a lil bit....

-Buying some bulk size of Jamaican black castor oil.
-Pick up some new headbands/headwraps to stylishly hide my NG while stretching.
-When that V05 sale comes back around, I'll be there.

You're not helping my problem. But anyway, I plan on stocking up on more glycerin, aloe vera gel, castile soap, cassia, and mucho mucho unrefined coconut oil. I also need a case of plastic bag caps. Why did you get me started???????
I've been wondering about buying these in bulk. I use sooo many. Where can I find a case?

I would like to try the ojon rare havest tawaka cleanser and conditioner. The cream was great so I have high expectations for the cleanser and conditioner.

I also want to get the 16 oz bottle of Ojon revitalizing mist from qvc, Im ordering one this friday but I know i will need more by then.

...and it would be nice just to restock my WEN and jessicurl products!!!

But thats all...
Yeah, Ojon is on my wishlist too!

Yeah, I knew about this. However, my refund is always higher than what my stimulus check is so...this won't be a problem for me - just means that my next year refund will be smaller. However, I do appreciate the fact that you put it out there. I think the masses still don't know about this.

Bumping....first round of checks went out today.
I heard that they started sending them out early. A friend of a friend claimed to have gotten hers already.

Okay so basically I have a big wishlist. No, I won't be buying everything on it. I definitely want some the OCT products minus the shampoo. I want to try some Qhemet moisturizer. I've been wanting some Ojon. I would love to have a steamer. I want a lacefront - have yall seen NCLady's thread w/the link to her Fotki pics of her lacefront? I also need a hooded dryer. But I can't go crazy & get it all - hubby won't let me. But I will be checking 1 or 2 of these items off of my wishlist. :yep:
