I am prepooing my daughters hair with One n Only hydrating cond, Aphogee Balancing cond, Nexuss hydrating cond with some honey thrown in for good measure. After the hair is shampooed should it be conditioned again or would a leavin work?

Bump, I don't know why I can hardly get any responses to my questions. If they seem stupid sorry. I thought we were all here to learn, share experiences and offer suggestions.

I don't always shampoo after conditioning. If her hair doesn't feel like it has buildup I would just rinse out the honey and get to styling.

Some folks will condition (2-3 minutes then rinse out) or deep condition (30min-1 hour with or without heat) after a shampoo, but conditioning always happens for me after a shampoo. HTH.

Thanks so much for the response. I think I'll have to wash it.Just curious about conditioning afterwards, unsure if it will be necessary or would a leavin do?

I Would Deep Condition After Shampooing But If Her Hair Feels Moist Then You Could Skip The Deep Condition. It's Really Up Too You And How Her Hair Feels After The Shampoo.

ETA: A Leave In Is A Must (At Least With My Daughters Hair) Without It There Is No Way I Would Be Able To Comb Through It.:look:
Plus The Added Moisture Is A Plus.

I would either do a quick dc (10 mins) or just use a leave-in (seal the hair if possible). I love hoow honey makes my hair feel and I also just used the one n only hydrating conditioner yesterday and I like it.

Your question was only up for fifteen minutes. You have to give people time to respond lol.

I'm a conditioner junkie, so I condition afterwards. It really depends on your daughter's hair's needs, as well as the time you have available. If you have a really effective deep conditioner, you don't need a leave-in. If you have a really effective leave-in, you may not have needed that deep conditioner. :yep:

I know, unfortunately I am very impatient and usually when I ask a question I get very few replys. I didn't condition it but I did add a leavin. It felt really good after I blowdryed. So Thanks to you all and sorry for me being impatient.

when I prepoo its just an extra step in my wash routine, which always includes a DC.

as for the leave in, Ive never used a leave in on wash day without conditioning before. I guess it would depend on the type of poo you use ie:sulphate or sulphate free etc.

many ladies have said before that it depends on how the hair feels. When I was with HV shikakai bar my hair doeant feel like I need to condition after. but I still do lol

After doing a pre poo, and washing my hair, I always use conditioner. Usually it's a rinse out, not a deep conditioner, unless my hair feels extremely dry.

I always DC after I shampoo...even when doing a prepoo. And I always use a leave-in afterwards. But that's just me.

I always go by how my hair feels Op. And like Nappynelle (sp?) said if I know the product is effective I know that I don't have to use another one with it or after/before it. But I usually always use a leave-in or moisturizer after conditioning.
