Hi natural ladies! I just made a little discovery that seemed to work in transistioning from all natural hair to pressing. I thought I would share for anyone who might be having the same problems. I had problems keeping a press after going from all summer braidouts. I would press my hair and I would end up looking like Chakka or Tina Turner. So I changed up my wash routine by combining a homemade receipe : 1 egg
mixed with Real Helmans Mayo
mix well and distribute through hair
let harden by air drying or sit under hooded dryer
when dry apply a cond/moisturizer ------ I made mine with olive oil
coconut oil
cheap cond
honey
All ingredients measure to hair volume.
rinse hair from egg and shampoo
apply moisturizer leave on about 5 min
RINSE THOROUGLY
Your hair should be ready for a smooth and lasting press.
I will try to get pics for you
