what are good prepoos? do you guys have a specific prepoo that you do religiously before every wash? if so, let me know what they are... i want to keep my hair hydratedddd... thanx!

When I am in need of a protein treatment I use Hair Mayo as a pre-poo or if I need to moisturize I use a cheapie condition (Herbal Essence,Sauve).

For Moisture:
2 TBSP of your favorite Deep or rinse-out conditioner (I use either Pantene's Nourishing Mask or Hydrating Rinse;V05 Strawberries and cream Conditioner; Terax Ultra Moisturizing; Queen Helene's Cholesterol [any brand really. But no petroleum] )
1/2 TSP of Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter
1 TSP Honey or Glycerin
1 TSP of Coconut Oil (or milk), Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Camellia Oil
Halved Avocado
7 drops of Hibiscus extract/gel
2 drops of Ylang-Ylang

Mix oils together and heat in microwave for 7-10 seconds. Melt Butters in microwave until melted thoroughly. Scoop pulp of Avocado and blend until completely smooth. Add butter mixture to Avocado. Blend. Add honey to the mixture and blend. Add the oils/extracts/milk (if you used coconut milk) last and blend. Let the mixture cool or the fridge and remove when solidified. Part hair and apply in sections with an applicator brush until the entire head is covered. Sit under dryer for 20-30 minutes. Go about regular shampoo routine.

Fortifying
1 Tsp Safflower and Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Wheat Germ Oil
3 Tsp of Amla Oil
2 Tbsp Blackstrap Molasses (or whichever you can get your hands on)
Hair Mayonnaise Conditioner or Paul Mitchell’s Super Strong

Mix all ingredients together. Sit under dryer for 25-40 minutes. Rinse and shampoo. Your hair will be incredibly strong after this.

Suave or anything else lying around, I try not to make it too complicated, whatever you have will be fine.

a lot of people use old condishes/DCs that they are trying to get rid of as a prepoo

so what i do is drench my hair in coconut oil ant tie it up and wash it the next day.
but if you use condishioners are you using it with heat and then washing and deep condishion?

This sounds great! I'm interested in a lot of homemade mixes.
