Prayers for Pregnant Women

Lucie

Dancin' on sunshine!
Hello sisters,

I have quite a few women pegnant in my circle that are pregnant. Some very early, some in the middle of the 2nd trimester, while the rest are due any day now. Do you know a Scripture I can send them via text message for them to recite daily? And possibly also some Scriptures for when they deliver? Thanks so much!

xoxo,
Lucie

Hey Lucie! Supergirl has an excellent scripture in her siggy. It has helped me tremendously. Here it is...

25 Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
Exodus 23:25-26 (New International Version)

Oh thank you so much sweetheart!!! I love it!!! I already sent a verse today but will send this tomorrow to my girlfriend. xoxo

This is one of my favorites... :Rose:

"Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, BLESSINGS OF THE DEEP that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb."

---- Genesis 49:25

God preserves and blessings the womb of the mother and her breasts which gives her babies 'nurture'. Blessings of the deep, which holds the treasures of life, always there which lieth under whatever her needs shall be.

I guess I don't know any prayers per se. Just scriptures like the ones listed above to be used as confessions. :yep: Also, I found it good to read the encouraging historical recaps of women who wanted children, asked for them, and gave thanks, etc like Hannah, Rebekah, Sarah, Rachel, and the like. Tell them to focus on the fact that when these women poured out their hearts before the Almighty, he heard them. Their sons played major roles in history. Tell them to never forget, the children belong to God. He allows us to parent (be good stewards) them but they are his first and foremost.
I would also encourage them to read Proverbs. It is full of scriptures regarding children. So for example Proverbs 5:7
7 Therefore hear me now, my children, and do not depart from the words of my mouth. Could be confessed as something like, "Lord thank you that 'X' hears me as I teach him/her your ways and words. I thank you that he/she will not depart from them all the days of his/her lives."

They can begin to speak these life affirming words over the babies before they are conceived up until adulthood you know? B/C the promises of God are for whosoever will and God specifically stated he knew each of us before we were formed or attached in the uterus.

SN: If that was you starting to 'work' on your abs, you must be aiming for an 8 pack by summer! Keep up the good work.

For the most part, I love Psalms 127

1 Except the LORD build the house,
they labor in vain that build it:
except the LORD keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain.

2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
to sit up late,
to eat the bread of sorrows:
for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;
so are children of the youth.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:
they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

^^^ awesome, Ladybelle, thank you for that valuable link! God is good.

Lucie (ladies),
I found 2 more prayers you may want to see. I think I got one of them from someone on this forum.
Before Pregnancy: Desire to Conceive, Fulfillment Over Barrenness
Father, we thank You that children are the heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Children are Your idea Father; you thought up children, and family and home. You instituted the family in the Garden of Eden. You ordered children; You commanded them when You said to Adam and Even, 'be fruitful and multiply.' You said that the barren womb is never satisfied. Lord, the Word declares that I am wonderfully and fearfully made by You; therefore, I'm perfect and able to conceive and have children. You said that I wife would be a fruitful vine by the side of our house and our children like olive plants around our table. We are not ashamed but happy because our quiver is full of children (or arrows, as You call them.)

Thank You, Father, that You designed and fashioned me, to have children, that in the Bible barrenness was the exception, not the rule, not Your will, not normal, something against Your plan and purpose. And in Your goodness and faithfulness, every barren woman in the Bible who was godly and believed Your Word became pregnant; You opened her womb and blessed her, and she gave birth to a precious baby just as I will. You make the barren woman to keep house and to be a joyful mother of children.

You said, Father, that because You are our God and we are Your people and have a covenant with You, that You will love us and bless us and multiply us and bless the fruit of my womb and that neither male nor female among Your people would be barren.

Father, we are redeemed from the curse of the Law by Jesus and being barren is under the curse of the Law; therefore, we will receive from Your grace and have children.

Father, no plague, no evil shall come near our dwelling. We are healed by the stripes of Jesus. Sickness of any kind is taken out of our midst. You said to ask anything of You in Jesus' name and it would be done; and that if two of us on earth agree with You and Your Word, Father, that we will conceive and bring forth a healthy, precious baby to Your glory and honor. We pray all this according to Your Word and will. You said, This is the confidence that we have in You, that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us; and if You hear us, we know we have the petition we desire of You. We have it now. Thank You Father, in Jesus' name.

Ps. 127:3, Gen 1:28; Ps. 139:14; Ps. 128:3; Ps. 127:4,5; Ps 113:9; Gal 3:13; Ps 91; 1 Peter 2:24; Ex 23:25; John 16:23; Matt 18:19; 1 John 5:14,15

NOW TALK TO YOUR BODY

Body, we speak to you in Jesus' name: You will come in line and agreement with the Word of God. You will respond to His holy Word. You will function properly and perfectly, the way God intended you to. Every part, every organ of our reproductive system conforms to the Word and plan of God as we come together in pure, love. Body, conceive! Be pregnant. Cooperate with God's plan: perfect ovulation, release of perfect eggs from the ovaries, through the fallopian tubes, penetrated and impregnated, fertilized by healthy sperm. Good solid attachment to uterine wall and nourished and protected for nine months (40 weeks) unharmed and unhindered. Grow to a perfect baby - spirit, soul, and body. Your Word says, Father, that none shall cast their young, nor be barren among Your people and the number of our days You will fulfill. This pregnancy will be fulfilled. We decree it in Jesus' name and receive God's best; we won't settle for anything less in Jesus' holy name. Thank you, Lord, that it is so and done to Your honor and glory. Amen.

PRAYING FOR
YOUR CHILDREN
PRAYER IS THE GREATEST RESOURCE OF ANY PARENT!
2 Corin 10: 3-8
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, we have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
You are looking only on the surface of things. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as he. For even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than pulling you down, I will not be ashamed of it.
We as parents provide for every need of our children, sometimes we forget that our first prioirty and our children's greatest need if for us to pray for them. We need God to help raise our children. The above scriptures shows that we are in a war against the devil for our children. Satan is out to destroy our children, and there has never been a stronger attack from Satan than against our generation. Satan is out to destroy your child, to make dirt out of his or her life! If you knew that someone was out to hurt your child, wouldn't you do eveything possible to protect him? The Bible says that we are in spiritual warfare.
Ephesians 6: 10-19
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Pray that the Lord will bless this passage to your children... Isaiah 65:23.
My children have not been brought forth for sudden terror or calamity, but to be blessed descendents of God."
OUR FAILURE TO PRAY IS SIN!!! Sin hurts those around us! Did you catch that? SIN HURTS THOSE AROUND US! Your sin of not praying for your children hurts them! I Samuel 12:23 Moreover as for me — God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you.
Remember when you as a Christian pray - don't look for "feelings" or question, is God hearing me? God assures us He is listening to us. Psalm 4:3 Mark this well; the Lord has set a part the redeemed for Himself. Therefore He will listen to me and answer when I call to Him.
Psalms 145: 18-20 He is close to all who call on Him sincerely. He fulfills the desires of those who reverence and trust Him; He hears their cries for help and rescues them.
Psalms 139: 2-3 You know when I sit or stand. When far away, You know my every thought. Every moment You know where I am.
Psalms 55:17 I will pray morning, noon and night, pleading aloud with God, and He will hear and answer.
Just praying for your children once a week won't keep the enemy away. Remember we are in war! God is so blessed when we continually come before Him lifting our children to Him! Psalms 147: 11 God's joy is in those who reverence Him - those who expect Him to be loving and kind.
Proverbs 15: 8 The Lord delights in the prayers of His people.
Hosea 12: 6 Always be expecting much from Him, your God.
The book of Job brings out in chapter 22:30 that God will deliver / help that one that I intercede for.
As you pray — claim God's Word ... pray His Word over your children. I am reassured as I pray that Romans 4:20-21 Abraham was completely sure that God was well able to do anything He promised. is TRUE for me too.
Jeremiah 1:12 brings out that God hastens to watch over His Word.
The Bible gives us the example of parental prayers. Here is a basic outline for your use as you pray for your children.
ISAIAH 65: 23 promises Christian parents They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, and their descendants with them.
1. PRAY FOR GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOUR CHILDREN
Genesis 17: 18 Abraham prays for Ishmael "that Ishmael might live before thee." God responded in Genesis 17: 20 "As for Ishmael - I have heard thee - I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly."
Pray 1 Chronicles 4: 10 over your children:
Oh that You would wonderfully bless _____and help______ in his/her work. Please be with _____in all that _____ does and keep _____ from all evil and disaster. Jabez had prayed this of himself and the same verse says God granted Jabez's request.
We pray that God will perfect that which concerns ____. Psalms 138:8
We pray Isaiah 11: 2-5 over our children ... that the Spirit of the Lord will rest upon them, the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel and might; the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. We pray that their delight will be obedience of the Lord — that they will not judge by appearance, false evidence, or heresay, but will defend the poor and

the exploited. I pray that they will be clothed with fairness and with truth.
2. PRAY FOR PROTECTION
David prayed for his infant son's life in II Samuel 12: 16. I Pray Psalms 91:11 over my children daily That God would give His angels charge over them.
Pray Psalms 18:32 that God will fill them with strength and protect them wherever they go.
3. PRAY FOR A PERFECT HEART
David's prayer for Solomon in I Chronicles 29:19 And give unto Solomon, my son, a good heart toward God, so that he will want to obey You in the smallest way.
Isaiah 54: 13 Pray that your children will be taught of the Lord, and that great would be the peace of our children
I trust the Lord to instruct our children and guide them along the best pathway for their lives — to advise them and watch their progress. Psalms 32:8.
Believe God to keep Psalms 22:30 Our children too shall serve Him, for they shall hear from us about the wonders of the Lord. Do your children hear constant compaining or PRAISE?
Ephesians 1: 19
Pray that your children begin to understand how incredibly great God's power is to help those who believe in Him.
4. PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS OF CHILDREN'S SINS
Job prayed for his children in Job 1:5 Perhaps my sons have sinned and turned away from God in their hearts. Job literally stood as an intercessor between his family and God.
Pray Jeremiah 10:24 Oh Lord, correct my children but be gentle (Plead God's mercy as He corrects them).
Psalms 19:13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
Read Psalms 25: 1-21, and read it as though you were the writer and just see how many times you can put your childs and your own name in their.
5. PRAY FOR DEVIL TO BE REBUKED.
In Matthew 7:14-21 the father of a demon possessed son says Lord, have mercy on my son. Jesus delivered him. As your child grows, his life will be subject to all types of obsessions and temptations. The peer pressures are bad now. Just think what it is going to be in the years to come!! The old devil is going to try to lure your children into drugs, drinking, sex, sin, and on and on. Maybe some of you are already facing these attacks on your children. Remember it is never too late for God to come to the rescue. PRAY DAILY FOR YOUR CHILDREN
Proverbs 11:21 God will rescue the children of the righteous. Not our righteousness, but His in us! How exciting to know that our stiving to be in right standing with God will cause God to rescue our children!
II Thessalonians 3: 2-3 We pray that our children will be saved out of the clutches of evil men. The Lord is faithful: We pray that He will make our children strong and guard them from satanic attacks of every kind.
Psalms 25:20 Save our children from the enemy, deliver their lives from the enemies power. Oh, let it never be said I trusted You in vain.
Psalms 79:9 Help us for the honor of Your name.
Now there will be times that you will pray and know peace and maybe an hour later you will worry and fret again. Psalms 94:19 says Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer. Pray that verse and them go and reread amd reclaim that verse of scripture you were praying over your child.
As we pray for our children, Proverbs 23: 24-25 becomes literally a prayer too. ...the father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice, and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of Him. Thy father and mother shall be glad, and she that bore thee shall rejoice.
Remember God does not work on our time schedule. Pray and keep on praying until you see results and then keep on praying.
Keep a journal of your prayer requests and dates of answers.
ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THAT THE BIBLE SAYS THAT GOD'S WORD IS HIS VERY BREATH UPON YOU! John 6: 63 The Words that I speak unto you are Spirit and life.

I really love you ladies!!! Thank you for the Scriptures. I am going to sub to this thread. xoxo
