Post relaxer breakage

The week of Xmas I had an ORS relaxer applied to my new growth. By week's end I noticed excessive scalp itching (even more than my pre-relaxer itch which is normally A LOT) and then I noticed short hairs. Definately not my natural shedding but breakage like I haven't seen in almost a year. Any ideas?

I would suggest a heavy protein treatment: there's Emergencee, Dudley's DRC-28, & Aphoghee.

Thank you. I did do that last week. Is that something I should do every week then? It was so upsetting because I had made some great strides in hair health and length.

There really isn't anthing you can do but wait it out. Just baby your hair, oil your scalp, keep your hair moisturized, stretch out your next relaxer and wear protective styles until your hair grows out. It'll be fine, we all experience setbacks.
