Porosity Control...I'M FINISHED!!

I used Roux Porosity control for the 2nd time last night and my hair, again, was a tangled mess. I do not know what causes this, but my hair is so unmanageable after using this product that I end up losing more hair than necessary. I have short neck length hair and cannot even imagine having to detangle my hair after using this product if my hair was SL or longer. I will not be using this product again! I'll just stick with my regular ACV rinses.

Is there anyone else that cannot use this product because it causes your hair to severly tangle and mat?

Bumping....I'm curious as to why it did this too. It hasn't happened to me before, and I've had decent results with it (don't use it consistently though)

Wow! I was thinking about getting this, I'm anxious to know why it tangled your hair, that can't be good.

I have never gotten tangles, but I don't like to use it alone. The only time I use it is during the neutralizing stage after a touch up. Other than that it does not so much for me. No tangles but my hair does not feel quite right afterwards. Works great during neutralizing, though.

the same thing happens sometimes with acv it's like the product works to well
with acv i just used frizz ease serum thats the only thing that saved me and making sure my hair stayed wet while detangling

I've been using this for the last couple of weeks and have been very pleased with the results. I am tangle free when I begin, no rubbing or tousling, rinse straight back, and apply the same way.

Porosity Control - to answer the question - is an acidic conditioner product by Roux which is designed to lower the pH level of your hair.

Though I have to wonder why it's making the OP's hair so tangled. Is your hair not or only partially relaxed?

I am partially relaxed and I use it. BUT - it seems to leave a "coating" on my hair. I could see how it might tangle someone if they use it with certain products.

ME ME ME! It does it to my hair. It makes my hair feel so ruff and it becomes a tangle mess!!!! I hate this stuff!! Okay let me calm down, but this stuff is a nightmare for me and my hair.

I only used it twice...once after a relaxer and then one other time mixed in my hand with some conditioner and it didn't tangle my hair either time and that was before my big chop. My hair becomes detangled instantly if I put some conditioner on it so I might not have noticed it.

Sorry that this happened to you....I would get rid of it then...

All I did was use it as a final rinse. My hair was so soft and moisturized before using it. I had washed my hair with Nexxus Aloe Rid and then did a 45 minute deep conditioner with Mizani Moisture Plus (by the way, this stuff is awesome) and then put the porisity control on for 3 minutes and then rinsed. I could fill the texture of my "soft" hair change while rinsing out the porosity control. I used it as a final rinse because a lot of people on here say it's a good detangler. But it isn't for me. I won't use it again. This is the second time using it and it just seems to make my hair course, rough, and tangly.

I'm glad it works for some. The ACV works better for me. I'll continue to use that.

I meant to say Mizani Moisturefuse. If you haven't tried it, you should. It's awesome, plus it smells great.

I experiance the oposite results. As soon as I put it on my hair, any tangle that I have just falls right out with the water pressure of my shower. I've been using it for the past 3 weeks and can't live without it - but, I don't use it as a final rinse, I use it right after I shampoo and before I condition. Sometimes I use it before I shampoo and I am left completely tangle free.

I think this is the best way to use it, actually. Well for me it is. Final rinse - NOT SO GOOD.

I have the same issue as princessdi

that's the exact same way i use it, and i've had excellent results. it allows me to comb through this rough new growth!
