So, how many of you use silky looking polyester head scarves or bonnets at night? Are the polyester materials OK too. Or is it essential to use satin or silk?

I only sleep in a silk scarf; it keeps my edges smooth and flat. But all of my pillowcases are satin.

Satin is just a description of the way the fabric is woven (shiny on one side and dull on the other). Satin can be made of silk or polyester.

I prefer silk satin or silk habotai scarves because they let my scalp "breathe". Synthetic scarves make my head too hot.

i prefer satin too:

Oh. OK. Because I started really looking at the scarves that I wear and only one of them is pure silk. All of the others say polyester. I also found that wave caps wig caps and those packaged scarves that you can get from the BSS are polyester.

Thanks

I wear satin caps and my pillow cases are satin (silk) too.
