Sure Boca /images/graemlins/kiss.gif. I guess I stand corrected since they claim to be chemical free. That's incredible b/c that Index 2 straightens for real.

I saw this link on another hair board so I bookmarked it. now ya'll better not buy all of them from me or we are going to fight!!!!

I am about to use the entire line of PhytoSpecific products too, so I am going to order it all from this place.

Ya'll are like stop talking

You thought I forgot didn't you... /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif

Here it is: http://estore.heavenspa.com/Product.pasp...laxer_Index%202

I read the ingredients for the PhytoRelaxer. It is definately not chemical free. They just use a different chemical than what's found in most no-lye formulas. It's Guanidine Carbonate. It's in the inductor.

Girl you're a trip. I'm like "where's the link, she didn't give the link" /images/graemlins/rofl.gif /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

Sengschick, that's great it's chemical free. I have eczema on my scalp so that should help some. I just did a search and was reading your reviews so I'm definately going to purchase. Thanks again.

I guess that's what they call inflation.

Urrggh! It seems like prices are going up all around. 2 weeks ago I saw phtyorelaxer both index 1 and 2 on ebay for $45 now its $50. /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif Hate it when that happens should've got it then.

@ KAddy: What if you just email them and tell them you saw it for $40 earlier today. I'm sure they aren't flying off the shelf, so they may be willing. What other Phyto prods are you ordering?

Hairboutique.com has free shipping on all Phyto & Vivi prods and they send you product samples, that why I went w/them. I did see both Index 1 & 2 on ebay earlier this week for $50, but I was nervous about it still being in the cellophane and I wanted prompt arrival.

@Boca: I think it would be a good choice for you b/c whatever's in it is very gentle on the scalp. I remember one thing about my old relaxer experiences I ALWAYS BURNED and burned FAST. I've never had ANY scalp discomfort w/Phyto, even when I forget and lightly scratch /images/graemlins/smile.gif .

SC,

I am going to get the Vital FOrce shampoo and conditioner. My new experiment is to use one line of products for relaxing, shampooing, and conditioning. Of course I will still use my same products for roller setting (Lacio Lacio and IC Hair Polisher Heat Protector Straightening Serum)

I just like how these products sound (as far as ingredients). Other products haven't given me the look and feel I like.

I use the regular Phyto line, but I've heard faves on the Optimal Hydration Poo & Milk and the Vital Force Poo. I like Phyto a great deal, but hate that I can't buy salon sizes. That iggs me, so I rely heavily on Nexxus these days. Anyhoo, the PhytoSpecific site has been updated and I know on the old regular Phyto.com site they would give you a hair prescription. Maybe this one will as well for anyone who is interested. I found a bunch of self-relaxing tips on the new site and FAQ's too that may be of interest. I hope you enjoy the products KAddy, write a review for us when you've tried them all /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

SC I will definitely give a review.

I was debating between the optimal hydration and the vital force. I figured I would use the vital force first since it is for damaged hair then after that is all gone I would beging to use the Optimal Hydration since hopefully my hair would be healthy.

I'm so friggin mad! I had heavenspa bookmarked...and the phyto index 2 was 40....now...it's 60! I wouldn't even have realized because I wasn't ready to order because I've been using Affirm in the interim. I wanted to make a decision/comparison before settling on one!

Basta!!! /images/graemlins/swearing.gif /images/graemlins/swearing.gif

I emailed the heavenspa site because I wanted to know why they changed the price of the relaxer. I'm not relaxed YET but may consider it whenever my hair grows. Anyway, here is his email reply:

"Hello,

Yes we changed the prices yesterday. After perusing the site, I contacted the owner regarding the price difference. The new price accurately reflects correct retail pricing. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

-Ryan"

I am so glad someone backed me up on this. I thought I was going crazy. I had the page book marked too and I swear they changed it from the time I posted the link. I am mad too though, but I guess I will just order from hairboutique.

/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif Sorry ladies. But I think it's worth cost. I thought Sephora was selling it a bit cheaper, but now they don't seem to carry it at all /images/graemlins/mad.gif . Beautysak.com has it for $60, but I say go w/Hairboutique.com, you get to try products for free and there's no shipping (of course no tax).

I've been relaxing my own hair for eight years now and I do a much better job. I take more time with my own hair there's no rush to get to the next client and my hair looks alot better.

REALLY POOH! I DON'T THINK I KNOW ANY GIRL WHO HAS NEVER HAD A PROFESSIONAL RELAXER! WELL, AT LEAST YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS! /images/graemlins/wink.gif TELL YOUR MOM TO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! /images/graemlins/wave.gif

Out of the 9 experiences I have had with a "professional" only two of them were good. Each time I went for a relaxer or touch up, I came back with so much hair shedding that I was afraid to touch it. I have dealt with nasty attitudes, running behind schedule from taking on too many clients at a time, and ignorance as far as hair care. Whatever these people are taught at beauty school is gospel to them and there is no other solution.

Of the thousands of times that I have done my own hair, I have had only one serious hair mishap, and I have learned from the experience. Unfortunately the experience was with an Affirm relaxer, but I know better now.

I have self relaxed for years and have been very pleased with the result. See my album for pictures. I live by Optimum Care's no-lye relaxer kit.
