Hence the misnomer and confusion :lachen:

I see.

Because MBL could be after your waist if you have a really high waist, which some people do. But if you have a long back/torso then MBL could be before/at waist.

MBL is the middle of your back. Everyone's body is different, so don't try to measure your MBL according to someone else's body.

I'm just gonna skip it myself. But it really shouldn't be this confusing.

True. I understand what you are saying...thanks!

As you can see I'm skipping it, too. Or maybe I passed it:rolleyes::lachen:

See i'm confused, because your bra is in a different position in each picture

IMO, Your BSL should be BSB length, and what you consider to be BSB should be MBL regardless of how long it takes to reach it.

I go by BSB.

I used the same bra, and it was in the same position. My BSB can't be MBL because it's not the middle of my back. After BSL, I still have about 3" to MBL.

ETA: I think since the pics aren't the exact same, it may look like the bra is in a different position.

I think BSB is a better indicator and should be the one that is used.

The vast majority of women(something like 85-90%) do not wear the correct size bra anyway. I see it all the time on here. Bra is practically up to her neck and she's trying to claim BSL.:perplexed

Not only that the bra strap can be thin, thick, roll, get stuck in a fat roll... whatever... The only thing that is consistent is the shoulder blade. And yes, you do see far too many with a bra on hiked up to the heavens and they want to claim BSL... well claim BSL then but when you take the bra off it's still going to be chin length :giggle:

I started using the same bra to measure growth too.....but to each her own you know...do whatever makes you feel best!!!

:lachen:

I can see why people are confused. MBL seems like a misnomer of sorts...at least to me anyway. When I read people have mbl and see pix the hair seems like it is close to waist length so part of me thinks it is almost wsl and way past bsl. But the other part of me says if hair is almost wl that is NOT mbl...well not on me (and doesn't seem like it would be on most people)...hence the confusion. Anyway I'm skipping mbl and going from bsl to waist then I won't have to worry about it :lachen:

Woohoo! Me too!

OK it looks like I'll have to get a ruler to measure my back and do a mathematical equation to figure out what is my middle point. Wish me luck! LOL j/k :lachen:

Never heard of BSB before but I like it! Makes perfect sense since it would depend on the bra and the person. BSB should be BSL but some bras fit differently based on the style or the person's choice.

Plus, after this week with the guy on YT, I am now convinced that there are men on this board and it's really not fair of us to ask them to measure BSL.

My brastrap has always been bsb. I do consider MBL to start at the exact middle of the back and you are MBL until you reach waist length.

I had a dumb moment with BSB as well, lol. First I was like "What is it?" Then when I found out I'm like, well, isn't that shoulder length . Now I think I know what it is. My bra fits me lower than much others. Some people's BSL is very close to APL, while mine is far off. I think I will measure BSB as well, because my BSL is pretty close to MBL, like only a few inches off.
