Please remember me in your prayers

 (((HUG))) Sweetie you are beautiful. I too have suffered from low self esteem, as well as many others. Believe me, this is normal. I will keep you in my prayers.

Please keep me in your prayers as I ask God for complete guidance for my life, and decisions.
I currently suffer from low self-esteem, and I do not place proper value onto myself, and I desperatly need God more than ever in my life right now.

Tamala, Please believe that you are special enough that Jesus would lower Himself and become a man, suffer and be crucified just so you can have a relationship with God. If you are born again, He shows you grace and mercy, He showers you with love, He sees you as His bride, clothed in righteousness, you are adopted into His family, you are a co-heir with Him, He calls you "friend", you are a royal priesthood, you are fearfully and wonderfully made; a daughter of the Most High God. I could go on and on.

The key is to believe what the Bible says about the true children of God live in the light it. Once you recognise who you are in Christ, you will not have to look to others to validate you, you will find you true value and your source of strength and love from God. Once you can begin to walk in this truth, people around you will have to treat you with respect because they recognise who you are. And if they don't, then you know that you can walk away because you know where your true help comes from, it comes from the Lord.

I suffered from low self esteem and didn't even know it, but I have been mistreated by men and I realised that it was because I was insecure. I now have found security in my relationship with Christ, and I don't look to other people or things to affirm me. God loves you and has only plans to prosper and increase you, trust in Him. I will be praying for you.

Hey girl!

Have you tried reading any books that help in building your self-esteem? I suggest reading Michelle McKinney-Hammonds books - they're great. Also, look at Psalm 139 to build your confidence. Once you start loving yourself, people will be forced to treat you with respect. If they don't, start limiting your time with them b/c they obviously don't deserve it.

I believe we have all suffered from damaged self-esteem at one time or another. People can cause this to happen to us.

Just remember that the value of a thing is determined based on what one would be willing to pay for it. And in your case, Jesus chose to pay with His life and that's a pretty hefty price for you. You are valuable.

One thing that always makes me feel better, whether it's related to a diet-kick or not is exercise. Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you feel good. Try it!
