PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

What products could you not live without and why?

Just today I stumbled upon Mango Butter and I think I'm in love already. It would also have to be my carrot oil. I love the stuff!!

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

Unfrizz by loreal
motions leave in
olive oil

Gee its hard to narrow it down since i have a need for deep proetin, reconstructors, and moisture!!

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

Loreal Unfrizz Smoothing Treatment - does exactly what it says plus it detangles like a dream.

Aubrey Organics GPB - effective protein conditioner that actually moisturizes and detangles!!! Never knew a protein c. like this existed before.

Lanza Protein Plus Shampoo - Has contributed to the overall health and strength of my hair without drying it.

Lanza Deep Cleansing Shampoo - Clarifies beautifully without stripping.

Mizani Moisturefuse (herb version) - love this. esp. when mixed with a touch of virgin olive oil. Moisturizes from root to tip.

Elucence MB conditioner - One of the most detangling conditioners I've found. Perfect for airdrying/braid out days.

Keracare Silken Seal Serum (makes the hair smooth) or New Image Damage Free Thermal Conditioner - An effective heat protector.

I could go on but these are my cores...

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

This is hard but here it goes:

Clariol Hydrating treatment because it detangles my hair and gives me lots of softness and shine

Elasta mango butter because it moisturizes and makes my hair smell great

Got2be so smooth conditioner because it gives me protien and mositure for 3 bucks a jar

Creme of Nature shampoo. I have used this all my life and nothing works quite like it.

Loreal Unfrizz. Didn't like it at first but ever since I have been able to only find the "new" moisturefuse, this stuff is great.

Pure coconut oil. Straightens new growth and gives me moisture and shine.

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

superdrug henna treatment (british product)- cheap as chips but it softens my hair.

Castor oil - good for twists and moisture

Okra Conditioner by LUSH ( a british store) has a little foaming action so it cleans as it moisturizes.

Orange flower water and peppermint oil- stimulates and softens

Redken all soft conditioner - brillaint stuff.

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

satin bonnet, s curl and d & l cholestrol coz they help keep the moisture in my hair

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

Yes I am a PJ, but only because I am new to conscious haircare and am still trying to find the best products. So far the keepers are:
1.pure, unrefined coconut oil for shine and moisture retention.
2. Pantene Smooth N' Sleek conditioner
3. Hennalucent in Gleaming Ebony.
4. castor oil for hot oil treatments.
5. Creme of Nature Shampoo for 6-8 weeks into texturizer.

Still looking at other shampoos, protein conditioners, leave-ins, and oils. ( I like to rotate products simply for the sake of using something different. Once I get three of each I'll be quite pleased)

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

I get it at walmart since everything is cheaper there. The hydrating treatment it a rinse out conditioner. If you want I have an extra tub of the got2be and I will send it to you. Just pm me.

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

-Water
-Shampoo (any really, but if I had to choose, I'd say Salon Selectives "Drenched" formula for course hair, and of course, Creme of Nature!)
-Conditioner (preferable Salon Selectives "Drenched" for course hair and some protein conditioner)
-Hollywood Beauty Castor Oil
-Hot 6 oil
-Profectiv Break-Free
-Profectiv Root Health
-Profectiv Anti-Itch Serum
-Profectiv Mega-Growth
-Let's Jam!
-Pro-Style gel
-Isoplus or ORS Oil Sheen
-comb (big one)
-comb (small teeth)
-boar-type bristle brush
-hard bristle brush

and that's it for now....

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

Foxy, Your hair has grown out a lot since the inital posting. I like the braid out and the straight. Keep up the good work sis.

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

AO Sea Buckthorn and Egg shampoo
UANs Crema Condit.
pure unrefined coconut oil
satin scarf
Carefree Gold Spray
Herman, my stylist!

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

Hmmm,
Shampoo...any moisturizing one, partial to Keracare Hydrating Detangling
Radiance by Clairol hair color
Nexxus and GPB Conditoners
UBH (Creme Conditoner) for leave-in
Kemy Oyl
Black and Sassy Wrap Lotion
A'Sante Polishing and Styling Gel (used this for years and hoarding it...appears it is not being made anymore..sob!)
Anyone know of a nice soft gel that smoothes the hair, leaves a lot of shine and no hardness to the hair?

Disclaimer: with my product-junkie self, this list is subject to change in any 2 month period!

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

If someone came into my house you mean and held me up at gun point, only allowing me to keep one of each of all of my products..dear god...the thought frightens me.

RIGHT NOW the answer would be:

Fantasia IC Pure Tea Shampoo (because my hair is desperately in need of clarifying - but I'd try to wrestle my Lanza out of their hands too - I need them both. Truly.)

Redken Smooth Down Conditioner ( I just brought it to the salon with me today and got an UNPRECEDENTED rollerset and blowout. This may just be it for me on the moisturizing conditioner tip. )

Salerm 21 Leave In - I'm just in love - this may be the only mainstay.

Dudleys PCA Moisture Retainer (Daily Moisturizer)

Smooth and Shine Light Serum (the only "all purpose" serum I have - all the others are awesome for some things and terrible for others.

Sta Sof Fro and Ampro Styling Gel - for buns and general styling.

Frizz Ease Dream Curls - I NEED this in the summer. I can't go without it. I dread the day they discontinue it.

Sebastian Colorshines (the color depends on what color my hair is when the creeps roll up...)

A mild lye relaxer - right now I have no preference because none of them see to relax my hair. But I'd need one.

Ask me next week and some of these might change. it's just the nature of a PJ.....

Re: PJ\'s:If you HAD to give up all the rest...

For some reason, I keep on running to the Brentwood Salon Care Honey & Almonds Conditioner. If it aint broke, dont fix it... unless a certain person gives u products and turns u into a PJ
