PJ's! Do some of you have a staple now?

I was a long time pj and now I found my staple products that work for me. My hair is growing much longer and healthier. I am trying my hardest not to purchase any products that don't fit my regimen. Plus, now I am saving $$$ a year on hair care products. I don't want my money to be invested in the billion dollar black hair product community. I am glad that I found a staple. Now I can use my money for other things. Has some of you Pj's have success finding a staple?

:look:
BKT for Life! Er...well, the next 24 months, anyway. Definitely a staple. I'l re-evaluate staples again once I'm fully natural.
:look:

i'm glad to say YES. i have my complete shelf of staples after being a pj since i started. It feels nice to know what my main products are now.

the only prob is getting rid of all the other crap i collected

ORS Hair Mayonnaise. I used it when it first came out and my hair was still relaxed. Now I'm using it again as a natural and it's EXCELLENT for my hair. :yep:

Yes i have a staple hot oil, daily mositurizer, leave in, shampoo, and moisturizing DC. I'm missing the perfect protein treatment to stop breakage and i still havent found a good reconstructor yet. Also, I like phytorelaxer, but i think there may be a better relaxer out there for me.

Outside of my protein pjism, i like to try new things. Fortunately, i have 2 sisters and a niece who benefit from my product overflow. My pjism is rapidly slowing because i keep reaching for my faves more than anything. I prefer the consistent, dependable results from my staples as opposed to taking a gamble, especially late in my relaxer stretch.

Great protein treatments that are my staples: Affirm 5 in 1 and Motions CPR! :yep: Good luck!

As far as my response to the thread, thankfully, yes! I have been on this latest journey for about 5 months, and I am finally nailing down my staples!

Poos: Good ol' Motions (if it aint broke...), Garnier Fructis Length & Strength, Pantene Clarifying (for occasional buildup), SAY YES TO CARROTS! <-------- THIS LINE IS THE TRUTH! Thanks, Pokahontas, for turning me onto it!

Cons: Good ol' Motions again, Garnier Fructis Length & Strength & their sleek & shine leave-ins, Motions Spray Leave-in, Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 leave in, Lacio Lacio, Lustrasilk Mango, SAY YES TO CARROTS <---- AGAIN, POKAHONTAS, YOU WERE RIGHT ON THE MONEY ABOUT THIS!, Mixed Chicks, Redken Butter Treat Smooth Down, Keracare Humecto (don't use them all at the same time).

Protein: Affirm 5 in 1, Motions CPR

Edges: Garnier Fructis Brilliantine Shine Water Based Wax

Scalp: Mizani Scalp Serum, Keracare glossifier

Plus, I have all of my supplies-- hooded dryer, handheld, pro flat iron, barrel curler, clips, headbands, ouchless ponytail holders, small perm rods, satin cap, cape, combs, brushes, Denman brush, magnetic rollers.

Still need: REAL SILK scarf, rods, flexirods.

I am determined to only go to the hairdresser for trims & a RARE special occasion hairdo! I'm driving this bus from here on... :yep:

I am working on finding my staples. I have a bad habit of buying new things when something is working well.

So for the next 6 mos I will be using only Keracare. So far so good! We shall see. I still get the urge to go buy products however...but then I remind myself...you can't use any of that stuff!

If I like my results at 6 months, then I will get rid of most of my other items!

If you have "New and Company" in your area, you might want to check there. They had 100% silk ones on clearance for $2.99. I just got one Friday.

Me, too @ the bolded!

Right now, I have a staple

spray leave in (Mositure mist)

2 staple mositurizers (Silken child and elasta qp mango butter)

3 staple leave ins (KBB nectar and milk and cantu shea butter), and

grapeseed and vit E oil from the bss (both tubes have other oils mixed in)

Right now I got a staple oil- Jojoba. It's perfectly light and my hair loves it.
Staple leave I condish- Giovanni Direct leave in, oyin juices and berries, kbb hair milk
staple shampoos- kbb herbal shampoo and CON
deep condish- yes to carrots, kbb luscious locks, ao white camelia, oyin honey hemp
staple protein- aphogee 2 min and nexxus emergencee
all these (except the proteins) are subject to change depending on my hairs mood. She's a Libra and we are quite indecisive.

as far as styling and butters and creams. I'm all over the place depending on how my hair feels and what it needs. Plus I like trying new things.

I love WEN and will stick with it. Its my everything.

When I am in braids I like to use for moisture co-washes Aussie, VO5 Moisture Milks, TIGI Bed Head Moisture Manic, and HE. Mane and Tail for protein Co-wash.

Protein is Aphogee 2 min reconstructor, TIGI Dumb Blond
Hard Core Protein is Aphogee 2 step

As for oils, my hair loves them all so it really dont matter but I tend to go with either Cocnut oil, shea butter mixed with an oil (I like something thick when bunning) and Vatika Frosting (really its just cocnut oil)

I do have tons of other stuff I like to use on special occassions like all of my VS stuff or Bath and Body stuff.

Last but not least I have my henna and indigo.

I have a staple mosturizer: HairVeda Whipped Ends Hyrdation
Staple Cleanser: WEN

That's about it though. Still on rotation with everything else.

:yep: I’ve finally found my staples after a very long search and I’m so happy! I still like to know what’s new on the market or what members are trying but have no real desire to purchase anything new apart from replenishments.

I'm a big PJ and not loyal to any particular product. I always think there's something better outhere just waiting for me to try it out. :yep:

However, I can't do without my protein treatment Nexxus Emergencee and my detangler Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment. If I would force myself to choose a co-wash I would pick Suave Coconut and KKB Luscious Hair Mask as a deep con.

Yes.. finally. The Kanechomn and KBB.

Are you talking about the Kanechomn Karite? If yes where do you get it from? I've been looking all over for it since I picked it up in Brazil a couple of years ago. It is great as a co-wash, detangler and deep con. I love it!
