PJ in the making?

Please help me.

Lately when I walk into a Sally's or other Beauty Supply Store or even down the Black Hair-Care section at Walgreen's, I get excited. I get happy and there's like no other place I'd rather be.

I like to touch the jars and bottles and boxes, open them, smell them and even stick my grubby little finger in some of the products(when no one is looking, of course) just to feel them. I've been to Sally's three times in the last week just to look around and found myself angered when I went last night and it had the nerve to be CLOSED! I just looked at the bare, darkened store like, "No, this can't be!" Now I'm counting down the minutes until 3:00 when I get off work so I can go pick up a jar of S-curl wave gel and two packs of 99 cents hair so I can concoct this pony-tail braid idea I've been thinking about(if it's cute, I'll post a pic of it)

I have exactly $6.43 in my pocket and I'm giving it all to Sally.

Now I didn't have this problem unitl I found this forum. Before, I could go in, get what I needed and jet. Now I have to schedule time in my day because this is serious.

God help me. What do I do? Need help before I go broke.

OH girl /images/graemlins/smirk.gif, don't worry... you aren't the only one suffering from this addiction. I am the exact same way ever since coming to this forum, and it's definitely draining my money supply.

I am seriously trying to put the brakes on my hair product spending. It's really hard; especially when you log on and read these forums and every other day someone is posting about another product. It's just TOO tempting. It's a little embarassing, but I think it's easy to become obsessed with this hair care thing. I am in the process of trying to get it all under control.

I'm feeling your pain!! /images/graemlins/smile.gif Join the club... /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I've bought just about everything ya'll told me too. I got the Mango Butter, the Mouisturefuse, the Wild growth oil, the hair mayo, the S-Curl, All the vitamins and If ya'll told me to go out and buy a bag a dirt, I'd probably buy that too.

Pumpkin just posted a thread about a 50% off sale at some store in NYC. I live in CT and seriously considering ditching class and taking a train to 8th street to see wassup. But if I miss one more class they'll make me drop and this is my last class for I graduate in MAY... But my hair has to look cute at graduation right? So this place in NYC may have something for me right? Let me stop and take my butt to class because If I don't graduate no one is going to see my hair anyway. So maybe this means I'm beating this PJ'ism?

Not... Gotta' go to sally's and get this gel and hair and I can't wait. I'll work on it starting tomorrow.

Bye.

Don't worry ladies, we all go through this (yall saw my album) /images/graemlins/shocked.gif. Believe me, it gets better, once you find stuff that really responds to your hair well. Now if you start spending your rent money, I'm gonna have to send the "PJ Patrol" after you. /images/graemlins/driver.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif

too funny girl, I can truly relate I have bought so many hair care products I could open up my own Beauty Supply Store - Which in fact is my dream to do this someday, another funny thing is that my daughter is the Asst. Manager at a Beauty Supply store here in MA (The owner likes me because I have helped with his sales in the past) it's almost embaressing sometimes I will go in to pick my daughter up and they will ask me to help with the customers when they have questions about the products...so I do understand where you are coming from...I am trying to control myself and stop buying so many products, right now I just want to stick to one routine and hopefully not have to be carted off to (Hair Anonymous) my husband really thinks I have a problem oh well, I say I could be addicted to other things much worse than this. So I'm addicted and I'm proud!!!!!!!!!!
