Ladies who have this dryer -- do you wear hair nets over your rollersets?? I am thinking about purchasing this dryer, but it probably won't be until my birthday in November or for Christmas. TIA

I do. I wear the triangle one that was always used in the hair salon. You can get it at Sally's for $1.99. The dryer also came with an elasticized hair net which I use when I am in a hurry to dry my hair under the hood. I would not advise (and Pibbs doesn't either) drying hair loose under that hood. The airflow is strong, plus it is an upward flow, so your hair will get pulled into the fan if you don't wear a net. I love this dryer. It is amazing for deep cond., rollersets, etc. I do not regret this purchase!

Thanks so much for the information about the airflow. I saw on one sellers website a warning that hair nets must be used and I couldn't think why, but you certainly answered that question for me. I hope DH or Santa will be very nice to me this year.

I am so excited that I read about this! God is so good! I was reading MaCherieAmour's blog and printed out her rollersetting instructions. I was skeptical about doing it because I tried it once and my hair looked like a H.A.M..

As I was reading her blog I got this newfound confidence to try it again. Than I got to thinking that I use the gray rollers and know it was not going to fit under my $35 hooded dryer

Does anyone have a picture of this Pibbs 515 Kwik Dry? I need to brace my husband and dad for it

Well ladies I just dropped 300 plus for a Pibbs from Salon Equipment USA ... I'm feeling a little queezy, but I really just can't continue blowfrying my hair, and air drying just doesn't work for me. Well praise the lord I was able....I'm sure I'll sleep off the nausea LOL, and by the time I hit BSL I'll be praising the day I chose to stop using direct heat.

Congrats Chayil! The nausea should wear off as soon as you use it a few times! It's that wonderful! Its quiet and it dries evenly and quickly! Just think...If you get your hair professionally rollerset for $50 twice a month... then this dryer will pay for itself in only 3 months!!! Yay!!! (at least thats how i justified it to my dh)...

Where did you guys get yours?? I heard that some places will only sell it to you if you are a salon or stylist. I also heard that if you are not a business, they will charge a hundred dollar shipping fee

I'm supposed to be doing this daily co-wash/ no heat blah blah

It's an 'as-is' purchase...are you comfy w/that? I'm glad there is a seller in Atl that sells it for less than $300. Not $100 but I won't have to pay $45 in S&H, and it'll be brand new, but that's just me. I'd see it as an investment as I am always under my current dryer. IMO, if you're not supposed to be using heat, don't buy it.

Ordered it from buyrite this past Saturday night after reading this post, and received it today via UPS.
I've already used it It took 30 minutes on partially air-dried hair (I was on the phone for about 1/2 hour before I actually got under the thing).
I am really impressed. I don't have good hair setting skills, but I was so eager to try it out, I just threw purple and grey rollers in a quick set (and a couple of green). It felt like I was in a salon in the privacy of my own home. I couldn't take it on 70 degrees; had to back down to 60.
It came out really nice and I am satisfied with the quality of the product (I'd better be! I cost $318 including shipping)
I think it's the circulating air that makes the difference. I was able to fit my big head completely in the dryer.
To me: worth the cost. I almost went to get a dominican blow out earlier this week, b/c I was tired of my mediocre hairstyling attempts.

I don't know if the babyliss circulates the air or covers the entire head -- I've never used it. None of the reviewers said it did. So, that's what made the choice for me.
I feel this dryer it a good investment (if you have the room to store it!!!)

Who's the seller in Atlanta? I'm thinking of purchasing one in a few months and live in the ATL.
