Happy Holidays, ladies, I keep hearing about how there's no perm like PHYTO. Can you guys tell me why. And if you can send pics of your hair (preferrably before and after). And if I decide to try it, would it be safe to use after I've been using Affirm for the past couple of months? (I assume this is lye relaxer, right?)

Thank you

Just fyi, Phytorelaxer contains no sodium hydroxide (lye).

Well, what's the differrence between index 1 and 2? And where can you get this perm? Do the Dominican salons have them?
Index 1 is milder than 2.

I'm not even sure I need 2. I'm contemplating going to a 'spensive phyto salon in Manhattan for an analysis.

Well IMHO, there's no perm like phyto :giggle: My hair seems to just feel stripped after any other relaxer. Phyto keeps my strands stronger and they even look almost as thick as my natural hair, I have to really stare to tell the difference. My hair comes out bouncy after a touchup and it never looks flat, which is what kept me away from relaxers for a good while. However, phyto does make the hair dry...but I think all relaxers make the hair dry. With proper moisture levels, phyto is still the queen of relaxers.

I've used both Mizani & Affirm, and they both make my hair flat...does your hair look silky? I don't like my hair flat, so I use a volumizing leave-in, but atleast my hair is silky...

It's the only relaxer I've been able to use that does not burn my scalp.. I self relax and I've never experience any burns. Index I didn't straighten my hair but Index II had my hair looking like I went to the beauticians..Wonderful product, I don't think I'll ever use any other relaxer on my hair...It's pricey but my hair is worth it.

I agree and worth every penny :yep:
