PH of shampoo

I am reading a book that says the PH of shampoo should be around 4.5 to 5.5. I looked at my shampoo bottles but none of them say the PH. how do i find out?

I think some people have tried contacting the company. I was lucky because the kind I use the company posts it on their website.

You can purchase litmus paper to test pH.
