I have decided to challenge myself not to buy any more products from this point forward until I finish what I already have which seem to work already. I have spent way too much money over the past month on products.

I agree. It's just that everytime someone raves about a particular product, I have to try it. I've decided to stick to what I have for now and see what works best.

It's a good idea. I have been doing this with conditioners. I have so many!

I use the same shampoo everytime so I have to stock up if I run out, but I MUST get rid of these dang conditioners! It has been working out well and I like when I get to throw away an empty bottle and move on to something else.

I've been doing this for a few months -- and my hair, my pocketbook and my bathroom shelves are thanking me :look: . I still do a lot of looking at new products but I put them on a list to consider later. I've also found that I already have some pretty good products at home -- but I had never given them a chance before moving on to something new.

Good luck with your challenge.

My thoughts exactly.:)

Goodluck with that!
I have been on a product buying bonanza since August. I can hardly find what I need sometimes because I have so much. My consistent products are lining my bathroom sink, others are in the linen closet, others are still in the boxes the UPS guys have delivered. The situation is overwhelming my house. I vow that I will not buy until I use what I have in the house. So hard when I'm out and find myself "just looking" at everything in the aisles of Sallys or the BSS trying to remember:confused: the name of the last "great" product mentioned here. I've lost the clothing and shoe bug now to curb the hair supply mania.

Cosigning on this! Girl...I LOVE when i get to throw away an empty bottle of "something"! I have soooo many bottles of conditioners. The products in my bathroom are overwhelming. Now that I have found what works best for me,I have been mixing my cheap conditioners with my staples just to try and get rid of them!! I am moving into a new house soon...so I am trying to deep condition as much as possible and find different ways to quickly use this stuff up! LOL Any ideas?

I normally give away the stuff I don't use to friends and whatever they decide to do with them is up to them. Maybe you should try CWs or CWCs (I don't do either) that would definitely make you run out quicker:p

I need to be on this myself... My dh and I are moving and he did not realize how much products I actually had. He kindly sat me down and explained to me that I have a problem.

I do many CW's and that seems to help me get rid of my all of the excess products. I am now trying my best to stay away from the BSS and Indian stores so that I dont buy anything new. My new problem is the online stores. It's too easy to pull out a credit card and push purchase.
