First of all, Hello everyone! I am new and have been trying to read as many posts as possible on here...I think I am going to try the MTG (sp?) regimine.

But my question is....I have thin, fine, decent grade hair that is between shoulders and bra strap length. I have been toying with switching Stylist because she has been using Affirm on my hair for a few years, and it is really thin now. Does anyone have any suggestions on what types of perms I should use as I get my hair back on track. Don't get me wrong, it is not real damage, but I would like it thicker and a little longer than it is now.

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome Miss! An old stylist of mine used to use Affirm on me and it didn't work out too well. My new stylist uses Mizani and I love it!

Can you purchase Mizani at any BSS or do you need to be a professional to get it?

Any other suggestions?

Hi Mizzbizzyb and welcome! I don't really have any recs for a relaxer but I would just recommend stretching out your relaxers if you don't already do that. Many of the ladies here stretch 8 to 12 weeks, and some even longer. The theory is the more new growth the less likelihood of overlapping and risk of over-processing. Also, make sure your stylist is using all of the required steps when applying your relaxer because I've read in previous threads that some people's stylists were not doing all of the necessary steps for Affirm. Do some searches for ideas and check out some albums of healthy relaxed heads. Good luck.
