Mild vs Regular perm

ok ladies ive been using regular perms forever and recently it just hit me that a mild may be better for me. how many of you think milder perms are better? my thing is i want thicker hair, ive been stretching, moisturizing and retaining length really good and the thickness is there too but im thinking about trying a mild perm.

any advice would help
