Perm rod or flexi rod natural hair

Does your hair get bigger the next day? I perm rod my hair last night, sat under the dryer and went to sleep with the rods still my hair. My hair was fully dry. I took them out 15 mins ago and although I love the curls, my hair isn't big enough. I pulled the curls, picked my my roots with a pick, separated the curls and everything. Although it has volume it's still too flat. I use the pink, white and off white rods. My leave in is very light. I used oil on top if the leave in and the motions holding form.

If you want more volume you might have to use a pick at the roots to create the volume as well as seperate the curls a bit more.
But if you hair does not naturally have volume, it probably won't change no matter what you do.

My hair usually shrunk as the days went on and it lost definition and got fluffier.
