ladies, i have added a new pic to my online hair album since I have began my transition and cut my hair.....

Hi Sherrylove: I am curious as to what was the prime reason you decided to transistion to natural. I saw that you were using the Phytospecific relaxer. Did you ever have any problems with it? I know I could never cut off the length of my hair after going to so much trouble to achieve great length as you have there without there being a major catalyst! Why now and not a couple of years ago? Are you planning to start over from scratch? will you be doing the Big Chop soon?

I am supportive either way for you though, just very very curious. Bonjour.

hey mahalialee......
I have been contemplating going natural for a while... just did not have the courage and discipline to do it....going natural is really what i desired in my heart. and now i am ready to do it.. truth be told, phytorelaxer was the best relaxer ever that i used on my hair. I highly recommend it to any woman who wishes to relax her hair. it did not irritate my scalp and made my hair straighter and softer with more body. I had no problems with it whatsoever, but i am tired of using chemicals in order to not deal with my natural hair. sadly enough, i have never really embraced my natual hair. i can only go by what my grandma tells me or by viewing pics of when i was younger. my grandma still does not understand to this day why i put chemicals in my hair... she said she never had a problem with my hair in its natural state. i have been putting chemicals in my hair for 24 years, and it is time to make a change.

Beautiful hair, beautiful lady and a LIVING DOLL as a grandbaby!!!

Good luck on your transition. I never had any relaxer problems either but one day I just decieded I wanted to see my natural hair. I know what it looks like from pictures when I was young but thats it. Im so glad I'm almost 100% natural! You have beautiful healthy relaxed hair and I'm sure you will have beautiful healthy natural hair
