Paging Nikos - Help

I talked with an attorney regarding unauthorize photo use by a website. He said step one, email them and tell them they don't have rights to use the picture and save the emails.

I emailed them twice, no response at all. Someone said thay you perhaps know how to obtain a phone # for webite, if so please email me.

Secondly, I visted a site, it routed me to a UK cellphone I think, but when I tried to close it, it ask "Do you want to make this your homesite" I clicked no, it asked again, I clicked no. Well it did it anyway and I tried everything, resetting the default, this thing put something on my C drive, when I would delete everything, it would somehow appear back....Help

How do I rid of this nuisance???

I wanted to say thank you again, you are the best and REALLY know your stuff.

Turns out that that site has not been updated since 11/02 and they get their pictures from Magazines, Hair Patrons, and 'OTHER WEBSITES'

Boy I thought that was illegal. Apparently if there is no disclaimer and does not involve a minor then... unless someone complains they can use it..

Anyway, they are contacting the HOST and my pic should be removed shortly. That is so scary...

I'm told they can put you pic's (your face on a pornographic pic too).

Technology is good and evil, I suppose.

Any Thanks Nikos. You might want to tell the girls or you might want to add a disclaimer to the Photo Site.

Informing folk they don't have the right to copy, reproduce, etc, etc.

Again, thanks to Nikos, for his help in this.

I have a personal website with pictures from some photo shoots and the attorney I talked with said that people can post your face on pornographic pictures
This is a sick world we live in folks.

Anywayz, It's DONE, my pic is down, image #4 is now changed and my face completely removed from the site. I pray it is an isolated incident....

What gets me is they say "photos were authorized" wow?!!? When I phoned them I asked where they obtain their photos, they said from Salon Pic, Magazines, and OTHER SOURCES, but would not disclose what the other sources were. When I forwarded them the link to my page (which now, includes a NO RIGHT CLICK FUNCTION) Then that's when she said, well I'm not the one who "actually" maintains the site. But all and all they were very apolgetic, moved quickly once I finally got someone and they encourage me to visit the site.

Which I will do. Mainly to keep in an on em.....

I just wanted to let everyone know that my Pic HAS been removed from the site.
