And anyone else who is experienced with braids....
I wwas thinking about getting braids but i am scared because i don't want it to ruin my heathy hair.. Is there anyway i can wear braids whereas when i take them out i'll be able to continue where I left off! Help me please! PRETTY HAIR PLEASE>>>>

I know that Salt (Salt n Peppa) grew her hair out from braids.. it's long and all but, it is paper thin.. But i'll check into the site, thanks

nikki, i wore braids when i first started. my hair didn't suffer because of them. i think it's all in how you care for them. some people think braids mean no maintenance. we know better than that. the main thing is keeping your hair moisturized while wearing them, and keeping your scalp clean. i washed my hair weekly or every other week, and i used curl activator to keep the braids moisturized. after i stopped wearing braids, i didn't even need a trim. my ends were just as healthy as when i started. so it can definitely be done! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
