Paddle brushes are great for relaxed and natural hair - because the 'teeth' are farther apart than your regular brush you lessen the chance of damage if using while hair is wet, the ends have bulbs on them not straight points and they are great for adding body to your hair during blow drying.
The one from Aveda is great. Had it for a few years now, no complaints at all.
I think it depends on the brush, not all are created equal . I just bought a D83 Denman Paddle Brush and Iit. It's PERFECT. But other brushes I've seen in stores always scared me so I never tried them. The bristles on the Denman have rounded ends, but not the little balls. Whenever I tried one with the balls on it I always ended up tearing out hair.
Soliel185 where did you get your D83 from? I have a D3 and ohhh boy do I love that thing so I know I'll fall head over heels for the D83.![]()
I think you will just use shampoo and let water run through the brush. It does not seem like it will be as difficult as regular brushes.
