Hello ladies,
So I very new to this site but I am so excited that I stumbled on here. I have never cared much about my hair in all my 22 years, but lately the health of my hair has taken on a new interest to me which brings me to my problem. I have spent all day today reading the different threads and looking at the albums created and I have become very inspired to have a success story as well. However, b/c I am so new, I have NO idea where to even begin.
Currently my hair is in a weave and has not been relaxed since the middle of Januray when I recieved a terrible relaxer that left my entire scalp burnt, and made me think I would stop relaxing for a while. I recently purchased a 'natural' relaxer BodiPhier and have heard mixed reviews so I am not sure I want to experiment with it. There seem to be so many good products and combination of things to do I have become confused. Can anyone steer me in one direction, and will someone please tell me what MTG stands for?!?

Welcome!! :yay: MTG stands for Mane Tail Groom and it's an oil used on horses www.shapleys.com ?? I've never used it personally, but general consensus is it smells really bad like bacon, but it's suppose to grow your hair. There's so many methods and things on this board, my advice is whatever clicks with you, try it. On the road to healthier hair, cutting out heat was the best thing I could have done, as well as monthly deep conditioners, and treatments. Enjoy your stay.

I never self-relaxed so i don't know much about relaxers. I know that mostly everyone is using this stuff-->
phytospecific relaxer

You can get it at sephora.com or in sephora stores.

Here you can get self- relaxing tips.

Welcome! I will try to come back with some ideas for you later, I'm just really tired right now. But (((hugs))) to you for enduring a bad relaxer, I know your scalp must have been so sore. Try not to be overwhelmed. There are lots and lots of ladies on here who can help you. You are in good hands with LHCF:).

Hi! Welcome, and I'm so sorry about your last relaxer. You made a good decision not to relax for a while. I would recommend that you start with the sticky (threads that never move from the top of the page) that says "Looking for your favorite sticky? Please Read!" It has a lot of helpful (and extensive!) information! LHCF saved my hair and they can save yours too!
