I'm using the MT and have been for 3 weeks now. I'm taking out my twists and I actually notice less shed hair than normal.

I thought I would give you guys the update.

I used OCT and unfortunately I was shedding like a mad woman...

It's been a week now and my scalp still isnt back to normal

I am kind of surprised that so many people are bothered by shedding. If your hair is shedding it means that the hairs that came out were at the end of their growth cycle. So, if your hair is growing faster and you have hairs that are at the end or near the end of their cycle then you will experience more shedding. But, it also means that another is coming out out of the folicle. It's not lost forever.

I use OCT and I have had amazing results. At first I noticed a bit more shedding but after a week or 2 it was fine.

Started 3 days ago taking 1 5,000mg garlic oil capsule daily after 2 days noticed a huge reduction in shedding.

I'm using OCT.

I don't try to stop the shedding. It really doesn't bother me. The itching bothers me more. If my hair were shedding and getting thinner I'd be worried. Since it's actually getting thicker... I just live with it.

I didn't notice it until I started using it daily.

I shed for 2 months straight. No thin hair for me either. It's still thick. The itching is a mutha!

LD, when is your next update? I ordered some MT but since I'm 8 weeks post. I'm going to wait until July to start using MT after I do my touch up that way I'll be able to track my ng better

I feel ya! and soon as it arrives I will be applying it. I just wanted to be able to post accurate progress pics with just using MT. Right now I'm 8 weeks post and could use a touch up but I'm trying to hang in there til atleast 11 weeks but I'll start with the MT STAT! and track on the next go round because I don't want to be losing inches. Shiiiiiiddddd, I'm trying to get to MB b4 Dec. Ya Heard ME!!!

Damn LD, I already got a ton of ng. What Imma do with some mo ng? I'm catching hell NOW! LOL. but Imma do it cuz you never steer me wrong.

T, I got my bottle yesterday, took my starting pics, and applied like a feign. I am 10 wks post so I took a wet hair pic and 1/2 airdried pic too. Just start using it , asap !!!

I voted a small increase w/ OCT---but, that was before i started my garlic pills.

I take 2 in the evening every few days and the shedding has halted to normal (or better) amounts.....nothing like without the garlic.

I read in one post where someone said that it made their ng silky and they were able to stretch 3 1/2 weeks longer without the breakage and damage they normally would have only stretching 7 weeks. Hopefully, that will be the case for you, if so I know you will be in heaven. Super fast growth and manageability. Seems to good to be true. Please keep us posted.

But it did seem like it was working, I just didnt like shedding.

I'm almost with you on this one. If my hair continues to shed after the next wash im done with it. And like you it did give me accelerated growth. And i have been taking the garlic supplements for a week and that has not helped with the shedding.

I'm wondering, because i don't have any shedding anymore (in the beginning I did, but that's all over). I use it all the time with no problems, just great hair.

I'm relaxed too but I'm getting little to no shedding at all with my MT and this causes the same reaction as OCT according to many of the ladies who were using it in the beginning. I will be using my OCT as soon as I run out of MT and I really can't wait to use it.


But then again, I have been taking Kyolic aged garlic for many years now and I believe that is one of the reasons why I haven't been experiencing the excessive shedding. Vitamins do need at least two to several months before they show visible signs of efficacy. Give the garlic supplements a couple months sexyeyes. In fact, I would even go so far as to recommend that you stop using the OCT while you get the garlic supps through your system for now and resume using it after about 6-8 weeks of taking the garlic,okay?

A week? You need to give yourself more time than that. Some people it's instant other take time. Plus if your diet isn't great then nothing is going to work that quickly in your body.

ok - so the shedding freaked me out and i stopped. then i read some of this thread and decided to make sure it was JUST on my scalp and then use a garlic conditioner afterwards - DIDNT WORK. i give up. the shedding is ridiculous! and its not just cuz 'the growth cycle speeds up' cuz it sheds right then and there - my cycle cant speed up that fast. meaning i use it, i shed, next time i dont use it - hardly any hairs, the third time i wash, i give it another try and its SHED central again....urrrrrrrrrrr
