Nope, I regularly see normal/average and thin hair on black women. Our texture hides it well. Its not just because of heat, chemicals and too tight weaves/braids or health/hormonal issues either. Typically when I see very, very thick hair on a black woman they usually are from the Caribbean. Even then its not super common. People like Naptural 85, Chime Edwards, Efficiently Natural , Fusion Of Cultures, EmpressRi, etc. are not the norm. It doesn't look wispy and stringy like wiyipo hurr is why you are fooled!:lachen:

Oprah has always had beautiful thick hair.

@southerncitygirl Hmmm that's interesting. I've seen both in everyday life. I have thick hair but my mother has fine hair. My father's side of the family has thick/dense hair for the most part.
