I do agree there were some minor things added for movie purposes but there are other documentary of this book all not recorded in King James Bible I think they used information from several resources to capture the essence of the story. Tinney book was the foundation but not their only resource used.dlewis said:"I know you know this but it is very hard escepially for me being a writer to put certain things that is in print on the screen; I have the book too. I know they are trying to make a movie out of "Purpose Driven Life" book and is having a hard time. The movie was mainly based on the Bible version Esther and they got in down. It was true to the word of God."
Since the movie was based on Tenny book "Hadassah: One Night With the King" it should have followed that, IMO.
And while I think it somewhat follows the Biblical version I found several inconsistences, the Bible never mentions Jesse or his Grandmother Rachel or Esther feelings for the King but it does say how Haman begged for his life which was not address properly in the movie. He pleas for his life, in the movie, mockingly and the list goes on.
This was an OK movie but I don't want to see it again. I will continue to support Christian movies that come to the bid screen.
Thanks for sharing.
