I've claimed 4a, with curls a little bigger than a pencil, and I've had folks tell me I look like a 3c. Like you LadyLibra, when I look at 3c photos, I don't see my hair as looking like 3c. I believe that 4's can be a wide range with different size curls, just like 2's, and 3's. I'm beginning to wonder if hair type is like DNA, everyone has a different curl pattern unique to them.
