So I guess no one feels the need to apologize:rolleyes: Typical...

She has gorgeous hair and seems to be a lovely individual inside and out. I will be following her on youtube.

LeoB does have a low voice but its no different to Alicia Keys normal speaking voice.

I have seen her posting on BHM and she is a lovely woman, I feel sorry that people talk about her like that TBH.. She has lovely hair and a nice personality.

I think that's a shame.

I could hear a catch in her voice, either from anger or hurt. I wish I had a body like hers. I agree with her first video concerning this subject. Just don't look at her videos if you don't like the way she looks.

I don't understand why people would send her emails telling her she is a man.

I think she handled it well with her latest video. I also think ppl on here need to remember, this message board isn't some secret society--the world can see this. What's posted on here is public and it gets out. Not only that, all someone has to do is pay the subscription fee and they have just as much access to you. Don't throw stones from a glass house. We all need to be considerate of other ppl, and not be so quick to assume ppl we see on other boards or other sites (youtube, etc.) aren't members here because they don't post.

Girl, you know better than that. They just sit back and pretend it's not posted on page one under their screenname. Stop expecting civility!

....And still continue to make snide under-handed comments too . I wonder how some on this board act in real life, sometimes. Insensitive remarks still hurt on the internet as they do when they are stated to a person's face; but then again, those who choose to be insenitive on the internet probably don't have the courage to say the same in one's face and more than likely have a very low self-esteem.

I'm soo appalled by the behavior around here... I often am, but whatever. This is really turning into the ish I used to hear about OTHER hair sites. It's not cute and it's not cool. (but of course it's a forum and we can all post our opinions)

SHE'S beautiful!

I cannot understand how some women can think she looks like a man. I personally think that some women are jealous. She is sooo beautiful and has great style. I think she looks even better without makeup, she is beautiful. She looks like a model. She resembles many women in the media such as Iman.:yep:

Lhcf hypocrisy kills me.

Posters on this site talk about folks all the time (including some of y'all). A new video is posted every other day and a whole bunch of folks will come in and talk about the people in the video and say far worse things than have been said in this thread. I haven't seen anybody come in those threads talking about that "apalling" behavior or requesting apologies be made to those youtubers.

As long as it's someone fat, ghetto, or halfway bald people can spew as much negativity as they want huh?

Her hair is gorgeous .... I never thought of "manly" when I looked at her. I was just wondering how could I too use Caruso curlers on my 4a/b thick hair.

I can only speak for myself to say that I have never posted anything regarding other peoples videos to attack them on more of a personal level like calling them a man, fat, ugly or whatever the case may be. All I am saying is, the woman clarified to folks that she isn't man..period...so if it were me and I was one of the ones that posted she was a man, I would be big enough to apologize to her. It may not even matter to her but dam, can we show some type of thoughtfulness to one another and take responsibility when we are wrong. Especially when it involves another persons feelings.

As someone else stated everyone has opinions. They may not be right, or nice, and folks don't have to agree. I just think it's interesting that an apology seems necessary to some people in this situation and not in all the other ones.

Oh and just because someone didn't post it here doesn't mean they haven't apologized. If they did folks would jump on them for being insincere.

OMG! :love3: Ah-may-zing! What is her hairtype? I cannot imagine having a full head of natural hair and not having to use any (or next to no) product. It would be a tangled mess. Her hairtype's gotta be like a 3a? Help me out ladies.

if i remember correctley...she said she was 3abc or 3bc

apologize? now y'all there's this thing called edit! either you come back in this thread, realize,"ah snap it's me who they're talking about" and accidentally edit "my comment" or as cruel and cold hearted as some can be...either read these posts and not comment or just not come back in. -yeah caribgirl it has gotten to be low self-esteem. lhcf should be a welcoming place to grow, talk about, share, invite...he// anything that has to do with hair. lhcf is the #1 spot for hair...hey, let's not move it to #2.
i know we talk alot of smack in here but to be flat out doggish is a whole new level.

WE SHOULD NOT SEE LOCKED THREADS ON A HAIR FORUM!

i hope leobody get's on here with that delusciously hair of her's. well maybe not, i might have to jack her for those juicy curls. stay back leobody...your hair is wanted and i may have to put a hit out on your hair:grin::lachen:

i forgot to comment on that one directly...i said the same thought to myself with my very first post on here. like where did that come from???

Yep, I don't want to put anyone on blast but after reading the whole thread this post seemed to be the one that started the "fireworks".

Since I'm the one who used "apalling"... :look: I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I've often commented about the fact that LHCFers are critical about ish that doesn't matter... I'm not all up on LHCF like I used to be, so I don't have time to come up in every thread to post... most of the time I read the negative comments and keep it moving... If I don't like it, I don't keep reading.

NOW, this thread... I came here to see hair... If I'm not mistaken, I was in the Hair Care area of the forum (not Off Topic or ENT), and I don't come to to the Hair Care area to see the same rude ish I see in the ENT/OT forum.... Now, when I do decide to post a comment re: something I feel is rude or unnecessary (i.e. the TI baby moma) I'm often reminded it IS the ENT or OT area and to expect such... I don't expect such in the Hair Care area... If I had seen such before I joined LHCF, I wouldn't have joined.

The HC area is open for all to see, and if this was a sampling of what was to come, I would have said heck nawl.

Now, MSA, you may not have directed your comment to me specifically, but I wanted to give my personal view.

ETA: please forgive any spelling errors

I wasn't trying to direct it at you specifically but I couldn't remember who used the word appalling lol.

Maybe it's because you haven't been on regularly in a while but for the last several months people have posted videos in the hair forum and the result is super long threads where all kinds of insults are thrown out. From "she's stupid for doing x, y, z" to "her/her hair is tore up, down, and back", and I've seen worse. And sometimes the videos are just random people on youtube and others are people who are "known" in the forum world.

I don't know if the LHCF culture has changed all that much, but when those threads are posted there aren't that many folks who don't insult the person in the video. And I've never seen anybody talking about go apologize and what not. In fact, folks go over to youtube and leave mean messages (which is extra IMO, but folks can do what they want).

All I'm saying is I'm surprised by the outcry at this one video. But then again, I shouldn't be. LHCF is a place where long haired folks are put on a pedestal so it makes sense that this woman is being defended so energetically.

Before joining LHCF I was on HT for over a year and some members there mentioned LHCF being great for product reviews but having not so great members. The word everyone kept using was "catty". Then I saw videos by 3 or 4 youtubers calling out LHCF and I just had an overall negative view of this forum.

When HT said it was going $100 per year, I joined for a month and decided that it wasnt for me and then months later hesitantly joined LHCF. After being here a few days, I realized that it wasnt this army of women with pitchforks ready to tear down a hair-routine they disagreed with. There are some really amazing and helpful people here. I've learned a lot about everything including love and life and I feel like it was the best $6.50 I've ever spent.

Other people wont know what I know when they hear bad things about LHCF. The majority of people here are very sweet but it's those few... that can give a bad impression of the whole forum.

Leobody doesnt have to share her routine or help anyone. Why say mean things to a nice person? What have you gained? I can tell you she has more subscribers now. I'm one of them. I think some people should be cautious when being critical of other people's looks. Treat everyone like they paid the $6.50 membership fee because you never know who lurks here... :look:

Some people really need to stop projecting their own personal insecurities into every topic. Posters are defending Leobody because her gender (which has nothing to do with her beautiful hair) is being questioned, not because she has long hair.

I guess I'm just confused. When other threads/posters call youtuber's fat, ugly, or stupid, which has nothing to do with hair, almost nobody says anything. The hair is the only obvious difference that I see.

Exactly.

I haven't read the other threads where other youtubers are being talked about. Well, I did read the Ataaya(sp?) one, and ppl were criticizing her hair and hair practices. I feel like calling another a "man" or "manly" or even discussing is a lot different.

I understand you're trying to play devil's advocate for whatever reason, but even if this has gone on elsewhere, I would hope ppl would also realize it's mean and unnecessary. I also, understand that some ppl tend to see this board as a little "club" of sorts and post things not purposely trying to be mean or hurtful to that person, not thinking the person being talked about will see it. But like I mentioned in my previous post--this forum is VERY well known and very public, so ppl should post about other ppl from other sites as if they are reading it.

and why not? this is the LONGhaircareforum isn't it!? if i'm tryin to get where someone is then their goal is indeed put on my pedestal..thts wht im here for. to learn healthy hair care practices and yes longer length if possible. and no not everyone.. but the majority here want to grow their hair longer.

I think she has great hair, a great regimen, and seems like a sweet person. I find the way some people are talking about incredibly offensive though, I have to say.. A lot of people don't understand it, and to be honest I can't completely relate in an, i know exactly how that feels kind of way, but whether she was born a woman or if she was transgender or ANYTHING, she has the right to have her gender respected, which many of you have completely (and I mean completely) failed to do. I donno if this is just particularly close to my heart because my best friend is trans or what, but I have to say its incredibly disappointing, all this focus on other stuff when she's sharing how she achieved something many of us aspire to.

Just my two cents.
