This is a very painful picture. Join this forum, Mega-Tek, OCT, castor oil, Jamaican castor oil. What ever is needed to get her hairline back!

These women probably do know their hairline sucks. They are still women at the end of the day. It probably happens to most of those celebs. Not everyone loses their hair around the hair line. They could have spots and everythings
Also I don't like to blame the stylists every time. I'm sure there are honest celebrity stylists that feel the pressure of achieving the style rather than keeping the hair healthy. Women can be downright nasty about getting the style they want and they don't realize the consequences. Those women are paid to make them happy, not to educate them.
Most women don't care about their hair's health like most of us.

While most of us are thinking "wow you have money to get proper care", it may be the opposite. They may think "oh well, if my hair is jacked up, I'll just buy a $5000 wig to cover it."

Look at Alicia Keys, her hair is clearly not as voluminous as it used to be. Same thing with Mya. I think over time, to keep up with trends and requirements for roles, stars go through extra abuse at the hands of others and just have to deal with it. I could totally see "style over health" being the objective.

I totally agree... has anyone ever thought that these women could be victims of their industry? I mean B might be shooting a video where she needs to change hairstlye 5 times, all that back combing, braiding, colouring and plain manipulation is bound to be bad for the hair. Unfortunately these women are under a lot of pressure to look good and may not be able to rock a TWA while taking care of their hair...they might need weave for a new movie or a lacefront for this immediately...It's a price they are having to pay in order to be the success they are.

EXACTLY. I watched an interview with Elgin Charles this morning.... He has been in Beverly hills for 25 years... his prices are HIGH and he is not all that... He told his story about doing Natalie coles hair... and he was married to Jackee'...:perplexed NOW - Both these women are notorious for weaves and wigs.

so - you are right....a celeb stylist - is a lucky stylist - that gets some star to come to them, one time... then - he or she will charge you too much money.... PLEASE.

Oprah has told the same stories about going to a fancy salon - and losing all your hair.
My old stylist Pamela K worked there for years. She wears weaves but she believes in hair care first and foremost. She has her edges fully intact and loads of her clients have their edges too. You have to take really good care of your own hair under all that fake hair. That glue on lace fronts will rip your edges out just like the glue from semi permanent lashes if you wear it for prolonged time and don't take great care in removal.

Aunt Viv looks a hawt arsed mess! Its really sad. She used to be very pretty before she lost her freaking mind and started with the injections along with plastic surgery gone bad. Tyra, Brandy and that girl from Destinys Child hairline is getting to Viv's point at any minute.

I'm sorry but Angela's hairline looks nasty because of that natty stubble aka balding beady beads.

I'm sorry but Bey and Tyra does not have the hairline they used to have prior to all the weaves. That picture of Bey with her own hair a year or so ago did not match up with her old hair when Destiny first started out. If her and Tyra's hair is ya'll idea of a normal full hairline w/no damage from snatchbacks and weaves then the hair on my toes is a full weave! LOL They have edge damage from all that glue too. Its just not as bad as some other weavedup for life victims.

While I'm sure we are grateful for the healthy hair care practices we've learned over the years, let's not forget from whence we've come.

I grow weary of women in this forum with this air of superiority regarding their hair...
"Oh I would never do that to my hair..." When in actuality many of us did exactly THAT to our hair to look like the celebrities we are now criticizing....

You don't know what could be causing her hair thinning and/or loss. As others have said, she could have medical issues, heredity, tension, etc.

I don't know about you, but regardless of the reason, I wouldn't want someone to post pictures of my hairline for this entire forum to see and make judgments about. So I say we tend to the hair on our own heads and pray Angela's hair issues resolve.

Alicia Keys? Her hair looks great...IMHO

Yes, it does. But I'm saying it isn't as fly as it used to be. She had much bigger hair when she was in braids. Around the the "How Come You Don't Call Me" came out, that's when we really saw her hair out of braids. It was like..POW. Now it's not so full anymore.

:look: My aunt's hair was pretty bad. She had thinning hair all the way around... not just the hairline. Her issue was really rough medication and bad nerves aka major stress. :nono: My mom told me that she use to have really long thick hair. You never know what changes your body will go through. :(

if you had a bald spot and shaved your head you would not be proud

My bad! :spinning: Well damn that is what I get for only looking at topics under New Post & Todays Post only. When I saw two celebs up in here and Angela's name I assumed like an arsehole that it was the Entertainment Forum.

I am sorry about your situation but I can tell you that I will laugh at my own hairloss. I experienced it at a very young age by my own doing from nerves/stress. The doctors thought my roots were dead and my hairline would not grow back. My mother the hair struck woman was more bothered by it than I was. I wanted her to cut it all off and she refused.

If my hair fell out tommorrow I'd simply cut it all off like I have done many times before. Its only hair. It does not define me. I have cut my hair to the scalp several times and rocked it well.

:cantlook: Oh wow!! I have really been taking my edges for granted!! :cry3:

I don't know what I would do if my edges ever got like that! Hopefully I'll never have to find out. I'm glad I'm learning so much about healthy hair practices for the sake of myself and my daughter!

My hairline looked a lot like Naomi's years ago when I was wearing braids all of the time and not giving my hair a rest. Then I went to wearing wigs or hats to hide the damage. That didn't help because those things kept rubbing my hairline out. So I just decided to shave my whole head and start over completely. I thank God I've never had a job where I had to look my best 24/7! Although I have to say that I looked ok when I was bald. Thank goodness my hair line grew out again.

Weaves. Most people I've seen wearing weaves for extended periods of time have such damage. I think it occurs most frequently when the weave is applied to the edge rather than leaving out strands to blend in.

I could be wrong but I think Naomi shaves off her edges to wear her lacefronts so that's why they are non existent. I heard that some do that to make the lacefront look like it's growing from their scalp.

Yeah she is looking kinda busted, but I've seen worse.
