i just fell in love with this forum all over again. i started this journey october 2008. i still haven't nailed down a regimen or found all my staple products, but i am still inspired. i am successfully texlaxing and trimming my relaxed ends away slowly. so i'm not seeing much length at this point, but i do feel that i am enjoying my hair more as it is thicker but more manageable than natural (i used to be natural in college and my goodness! broke a few of those "unbreakable" combs, know what i'm sayin...). but once i get all the relaxed ends off, i feel like there'll be no stopping my hair now that i am armed and educated from this site and you beautiful, wonderful women. thank you.

Subscribing....such an inspirational thread. will hopefully contribute once i do an update photo.

This is inspiring!!!! I don't have any pics of the "bad old days" But - I have an intense visual of when my hair started giving up on me.....

when i caused breakage in my crown by not dc'ing, moisturizing or protein treating, and abusing heat.

Here I was walkin around with ends lookin like fingers reachin out.. all because I was too afraid to get another trim... Sadly my ends are always getting like that no matter what because I used to be so bad w/ relaxers, but I shoulda known better than to be hanging on to that mess :nono:
That ish didn't even move and looked WORSE off camera...:perplexed I wound up getting to APL this year only to realize it was only by like 5 strands of hair! :lachen:
